Shadyrock School For Dogs

I have been attending classes at Shady Rock School for Dogs for over a decade (first with our mastiff and now with our Great Dane). Linda has been a godsend for both of my XL breed dogs, teaching us how to really bring the best out of both of them. She is exceptionally knowledgable about dog training and dog psychology, helping us to really adapt training to meet the needs of our dogs. Through her encouragement, my Great Dane has overcome his anxiety and even was able to attend (and placed first) at a dog obedience show. More importantly, both of my dogs have been well-mannered and well-adapted dogs who are able to handle various situations appropriately. Linda has given me the confidence to handle my dogs safely and efficiently.When my Great Dane's collar broke on a busy street, I was able to secure him safetly thanks to the commands we learned with Linda and the tactics she gave us. She has taught me how to be a leader for my dog in order to keep us both happy, safe, and bonded. I know that no matter what situation arises, I will be able to keep my dog safe because of the tools and tactics she has taught me. My Great Dane frequently receives compliments on how well he walks and his behavior in public, and that is thanks to the work at Shady Rock. This class is a lot of work, as is all dog training. You have to be dedicated and put in the effort to make the program work. However, the results are well worth the effort, and I am so grateful to have Linda's support throughout the process. She goes above and beyond to make sure every training team is successful, challenged, and able to reach their personalized goals with training. Even though my Great Dane is five, we still continue to learn new things and reach new goals. If you want a dog training program that has successful results in a place full of true dog lovers, this is the training school for you.

My husband and I have been taking our dog to Shadyrock for months now and have had nothing but a positive experience! Linda and Darlene have gone above and beyond to help us and give us all of their tips. If you’re looking for a REAL world trainer who will teach both your dog AND YOU, this is the school for you. If you just want someone to coddle you and tell you that you’re amazing, then find somewhere else. The trainers will help teach you but it’s also on you to do the work at home and take responsibility for your dog!

I have put my three goldens through these training classes. We have done and will be doing both beginner and advanced classes. My dogs love going to class, they love seeing the other dogs/people and LOVE the trainer! Classes are always a blast! One of my dogs are very backwards/scared and the trainer did great with him, she knew when he was overwhelmed and gave great helpful pointers on what to do in certain situations to keep him and others safe. My other golden started classes a crazy hyper pup that wouldn’t hold a toe still for a second, jumped, and bit, 7 weeks in she is such a good, adjusted, smart girl! We just started classes with my last golden puppy and it’s going great! The trainer is a very professional, straight shooter, educated, and sweet woman. If you are looking to get your dog/puppy trained, I highly recommend these dog training classes, it’s a great way to bond with your dog, socialize them and a good excuse to get out of the house and have some fun with them! 🙂

This woman is the worst. It's a shame I can't give this person a zero star when she definitely deserves it I had my service animal named Wally sent to this school because he wouldn't stop barking and he apparently wouldn't listen instead of turning Wally into a service animal she turned him into a barking mess he is traumatized by the way she treated him he will not roll over because during training she would force him to roll over and spin him and twirl him which is known as alpha roles My dog does not like Alfa rolls and he refuses to accept Alfa rolls apparently this woman did not understand this and turn my dog from a service animal to a barking mess who won't even listen to bark. Instead the only thing that annoyed me was his barking and the bark box itself which made a high pitch noise when we tried to put it on high. This woman called my dog names called him useless he will never be a service animal did not return our money back and just totally gave up on the training. Now years later my dog doesn't even want to be around me All because of her mistreatment and neglect to be a proper professional instead be a mean old lady and hurt my animal.
