I have previously taken classes for a few years at SDTC with my Black Russian Terrier Cinder. She passed in 2022 with cancer. I have a rescue 2 year old Anatolian Pyrenees who is very shy but very gentle. I need to find classes that would help him
Highly recommend the puppy class so you start with proper instruction. Classes start next week. Check the club website.

I recently went to an event with my dog. Since she can be a space case at times, I had her prong collar on along with a flat collar. A club member, which I am not, walked up to me and informed me that prongs are not allowed. I was a little put off by by the exchange, but I acknowledged her comment and went outside to check other activities. When I came back inside, another member, I am guessing, apologized for the misinformation and did let me know that prongs are allowed, but some people don't like them. That second person and the trial secretary made up for that first person's attitude. The lady helping park cars that day was a hoot, too!
