Sit Means Sit Dog Training

I brought my 70lb Pit baby to Sit Means Sit in Bonita Springs Fl because he is 70lbs of love and fun and wants to drag me to meet everyone and thing he sees on our walks. He also had some bad habits like jumping on our visitors. I was nervous about using an e-collar but the change in his attention when it is on, is amazing. He knows it's time to practices is people/dog skills when it goes on and he LOVES it! The mild stimulation it delivers is similar to a tens unit i use on my back and I've never had to "shock" him. This tool, combined with the lessons and skills taught by the very capable staff at SMS have transformed my overzealous pup into a well behaved gentle dog! I highly recommend them..

Then she instructs us, the parents, so that we understand and can adjust our way handling, training and communicating with our fur-baby. I was skeptical of the ecollar when I went in for my preliminary visit. I didn’t understand how it worked and had preconceived notions about its safety. If you feel that way, RELAX, it will end up being a blessing for you and you pet will love it too. It’s hard to explain the feeling of family you get at Sit Means Sit of SWFL. They have groups classes that you move into once your dog has finished their private sessions and Alexis feels they are ready to join the pack. And the “pack” is not just the dogs...it’s the parents too. You end up developing a camaraderie with the other dogs and their owners. You’re all in it together: learning from each other and cheering each other on. Your life-changing experience is that you have a new family and have embarked on a fabulous new adventure with a lot of wonderful people. I'm just getting started as Kai and I have yet to go to group sessions. He's a very smart dog (I suppose all of us say the same about our dogs!), so I always had the feeling he was training me. That changed with Seat Means Sit. It's not about the collar or the commands learned or the instructions given. It's the sum of everything that makes the difference. Alexis and Naomi are really good at this. They clearly know their stuff and love working with dogs. I trust them 100% with my little mutt. Don't be afraid of the collar. It does not hurt and they teach you how to make it a neutral stimuli. The dogs do not develop aversion to its use. I see a big difference in Kai and cannot say enough good things about this place, the method, and above all, everyone there.
