Our stubborn, anxious, and vocal pup needed some help, as he would eat everything in sight and wouldn’t stop barking if another dog was in the same room as him. Luckily for my husband and I, we stumbled upon Sit Means Sit. Evan was a fantastic trainer to work with! He gave us the tools we need to keep our dog safe. Although we have a ways to go with our lil guy, we already see tremendous improvement in his behavior. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some guidance on how to keep your dog obedient.

I had previously been told by a trainer that my dog 1 yr old puppy Sergeant, would eventually turn aggressive, be more than I could manage and I should either re-home him or consider euthanasia. Although he had never shown any signs of aggression and was a 100 pound lap dog, I was now uncertain of him. When I met Tessa and Jimmy for an introduction session with Sit Means Sit, I wasn't certain that we'd find success, but I wasn't going to give up without trying. 7 weeks later, I have a well behaved dog who responds to commands, with or without his collar on. More than training the dog, Sit Means Sit gave me the confidence in my ability to give correct direction and reassurance that Sergeant will respond appropriately. He still steals my half of the bed at night and his kisses will remove all makeup in 1 lick, but my big ole marshmallow and I are living a harmonious life thanks to Sit Means Sit.

Tessa and her father Jimmy are hands down THE BEST DOG TRAINERS out there. Our Golden Retriever was trained in such a short time to perfection by Tessa. We went through many dog trainers as our pup was always super exited and pulling his leash and totally non-obedient. Now, we have a great pup on hand who listens and behaves great. If you are on the fence or have tried it all and nothing has ever worked, LOOK NO FURTHER and live your best life with a whole new obedient pup.

If you had told me 5 weeks ago that I would be able to walk my dog off-leash today, I would have never believed it, but here we are. We had a GREAT experience at Sit Means Sit. At our evaluation, Jimmy immediately established his credibility and demonstrated his capabilities with our dog. Over the next several weeks, Evan took special care of our dog and was a great coach to us. We are totally satisfied and blown away with the progress in just 5 weeks. Sit Means Sit is worth every penny of the investment.

Absolutely blown away — if I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would! We brought in our 2.5-year-old black lab mix, who’s been fearful of just about everything since we rescued him. Their professionalism is top-notch, but what really sets them apart is how deeply they care.
