Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're describing a board & train program which we no longer offer. We have switched over to a day training model which is still immersive like boarding programs but are only 1 day a week for a number of weeks and you have a lesson with your dog at the end of the day training. We have found that day training is a very effective training format to not only fully train your dog, but gives us the opportunity to make sure that owners have all the tools they need to continue with training management, ultimately providing long lasting and reliable results. Amazing. Definitely recommend
We have 2 Mini Australian Shepherds and all the staff were awesome with them and their high energy personalities. We learned so many helpful things and the program really works! Our dogs had leash pulling issues, barking, and socialization problems. We are already noticing a difference in just. A few weeks! We can’t thank the team at Sit Means Sit enough! I can’t wait to watch them continue to learn at home and group classes!
The puppy we rescued had WAY more energy and grew much bigger than expected. Working with Jim and Doug was great. They helped us to become much more confident pet owners. They helped our puppy understand boundaries physically and with her behavior, so she is a much happier pup. We are able to take her more places and explore new things with her just like the best friend we had hoped she would be. The whole team is wonderful with years working together (which is impressive in this day and age). I am SO glad I found them and am able to continue to work with them.
We had a great experience training with our doodles. We just wanted them to follow commands better and calm down with distractions. They did great and are learning more everyday.
Maggie is my 7th dog and I’ve always started with a puppy till her…she is an almost 3 yr old GSP with high energy and I needed help with training her to stop jumping and nipping when people came over. I opted for the 3 lessons at sit means sit and she did amazing!!! The instructor took his time to explain not just what i needed to continue at home to train her but why. I was a bit hesitant as this is not a method I have ever used…I used reward and punishment training on my other dogs. This method was simple for her to understand and the more I got comfortable with the controller the easier it was for Maggie to do what was expected. I quickly began to trust the collar which allowed her more freedom in the yard to run and play frisbee as her recall was very good and she loved retrieving the frisbee and balls. She just graduated from in class and are excited to join a group class soon!
