Sit Means Sit Dog Training Colorado Springs

I have a reactive dog who I needed help with training, for his obvious reactivity and him opening our fridge to forage for food. I worked with Chris and he was VERY helpful in both giving me the tools I needed to help my dog live his best life and help me gain the confidence I needed to manage my guy (Hunter). Hunter graduated yesterday and Chris asked me what I needed to help my guy continue to get better. When I told him that my lack of confidence was the major hang up at this point, he recommended that I bring Hunter to the Feisty Fidos class alone as my default when the dog gets out of hand is to hand him off to my husband. Chris even helped us fit a muzzle to the dog and showed us how best to muzzle train the dog. Chris is a 9.9/10 (deducting .1 because no one is perfect LOL). I would recommend SMS to anyone needing help with a reactive dog.

I brought both of my dogs to Sit Means Sit , for 2 weeks boarding,individual training, & then the group training program. I have a 2 year old Frenchie & a 3 year old doodle. I felt they needed some formal training after an unexpected severe illness,I was unable to give them the training that they needed for about a year and a half. They were both pretty set in their ways, I was completely surprised at both of the dogs excitement in training. I was sent videos of them while they were in boarding on their progress, I was worried… But the two of them looked so happy & excited.They absolutely love their trainers, & are so excited to go back when I take them for training. I am very happy with the results, of course you have to make sure that you are doing the training at home as well to ensure that they retain what they’ve learned. They are very good at what they do at Sit Means Sit.I believe that they truly care about my dogs, & I feel like they have a great relationship with them, I feel like my dogs are better behaved & what a relief that they are no longer jumping up on my tiny mom anymore. The trainers are super friendly, understand that you are not a trainer yourself & when you make mistakes(I make many), they gently correct you & then you realize it’s just not your dogs that are being trained. It’s you as well to be a better owner. I recommended them to two of my girlfriends, & one of my girlfriends expressed her excitement when I posted on Facebook- I posted Louie graduated today & she said-Oh my God I love that place! Her dog is a service dog and a company’s her for appointments and is extraordinarily well trained.I would never recommend anywhere else.

The folks at Sit Means Sit were absolutely excellent and exceeded my expectations! They are incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about helping both the dogs and their owners succeed. They helped us tremendously with my daughter’s dog, and I will be forever grateful for the time, patience, and expertise they provided. One thing I especially appreciate is that if your pup needs some extra training or a refresher down the road, it’s included in the package. That really shows how committed they are to their clients and their dogs.
