Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Littleton CO

We took our pup (just turned 1) Kratos here and he just completed his 1:1 sessions with Blaine! I am so happy with our experience. I know e-collar training can be controversial or scary if you aren’t familiar with it, but it is absolutely not abusive or harmful to the dog. At our first session (and throughout) we were reassured that stimulation is never used as correction, and we were shown the signs of when the stim is too high or too low. The lessons were very comprehensive for us, but they also offer a 24/7 trainer text line should you need extra support. I’m so happy we chose them and Kratos is doing much better than before. No training is a miracle or cure all, and he is still working on reactivity but now we can take him on walks without fearing the thought of seeing another dog. Absolutely worth it for his and my mental health :)

I highly recommend Sit Means Sit. Clean aesthetically pleasing facility, friendly knowledgeable staff, and great results. My puppy Charlie and I were paired with Judson Brown as our trainer. We opted for train the trainer lessons and it was amazing how much change and growth I have seen with Charlie. Judson really built my and Charlie’s confidence each lesson! Sit Means Sit Dog Training is a fantastic place to take your doggie(s) for training. Not only does your dog learn, I learned as my dogg's owner. Justson Brown is knowledgeable about dog breeds, helpful with all questions that I had and still have, and Jutson is great sharing the good work with the progress made training my Belgian Malinois - Dutch Shepherd, Reno. Justson and team are amazing. I am looking forward to my month check in session to show off the training Reno and I are doing well and to talk about next steps. Sit Means Sit was highly effective in training our dog. We worked with Blaine, who is a very kind and highly skilled trainer and did an excellent job with our pup. My primary goal with Sit Means Sit was to have 100% recall success and Blaine helped get us pretty close to that. We did the hybrid model which means Sit Means Sit trains your dog once a week for about 4 weeks and in between those weekly sessions you (the owner) are expected to train your dog based on what SMS taught your dog that week. This is a great model in some ways since it's important that the owners actually learn how to train your dog in the way SMS does. I would highly recommend SMS if you're looking for tangible results in a relatively short amount of time. They run a fantastic operation and the staff is very friendly and skilled across the board. There are two reasons why I have a hard time giving SMS a 5-star rating. (1) It's really important to note that SMS trainers are serious pros, but in the hybrid model I think the dogs have a hard time retaining knowledge each week between SMS training sessions. We, as owners, just don't have the skills or time that the SMS trainers have to get the same results. That was our personal experience, does not mean that you will have the same experience. (2) The cost is quite high - It's worth doing a reality check on your budget. For me, I was a bit caught off guard by the price and how our budget did not get us more individual trainings. Another positive is that SMS has a very cool lifelong refresher policy that allows you to take your dog in once a month perpetually after your dog has completed the formal training sessions that you paid for. We will definitely look to leverage that! Similarly, they also offer boarding services when/if you leave town an need to Board your dog. I believe the only offer this to previous customers. Overall, SMS is a fantastic place to get your dog trained and I would highly encourage folks to consider taking your dog here if you want good results fast.
