She works remotely and is not a trainer, which is why she directed your questions to me. When she did exactly what she was supposed to—connect you with someone qualified to answer your questions—you chose to openly criticize her rather than appreciate that she ensured you received the most accurate and detailed information from the right team member. After our exchange, it became clear that our training philosophy and your expectations were not in alignment. It wasn’t “asking questions” that led to my decision—it was the tone and nature of your interactions, which were unnecessarily confrontational and accusatory from the start. Then, when we made the professional decision not to move forward, you chose to continue attacking us online with this review. We made the decision not to move forward with you as a client because, in every interaction—including this review—you have chosen to attack us and look for problems that were never there to begin with. We have made every effort to answer your questions in good faith. At Sit Means Sit, we work with dedicated dog owners who are open to learning, willing to engage in productive conversations, and truly want the best for their dogs. Unfortunately, not everyone is open to new information when it challenges their preconceived ideas. We take false and misleading reviews very seriously. The lifetime follow-up lessons included in your package are crucial to refining his skills and ensuring that he continues to progress and reach your goals. I highly recommend and encourage you set up one of those lessons. Consistency and commitment at home are essential to complement our structured lessons. There were times when our trainers observed that Walter wasn’t fully set up for success—such as when he arrived without his training equipment or when you appeared rushed during the last few sessions. Additionally, for the initial lesson, which covers essential training principles, your mother attended on your behalf. This foundational session is crucial for setting both the dog and owner up for success, and missing it may have led to gaps in understanding core techniques, such as timing and collar use. For example, we later encountered an issue with the collar, which may have resulted from extended wear over a weekend. This initial gap in collar use guidelines likely contributed to Walter’s discomfort, a situation that could have been avoided by implementing the regular fit-and-break checks covered during that first lesson.
