Sit Means Sit Dog Training - NorCal

I want to thank Dave and sit means so… I “rescued” a local stray off the street, first 20 days were sooo stressful. I was going back and forth on keeping the dog at all. He’d clearly been abused and mistreated. Now at 3 months later post Sit means Sit it’s drasticlly better. We finally looked into training options, Rocky is our boys name now… after we went to sit means sit everything has been different. The basics that they instilled into him along with the planned commands have been the saving grace. Was like a program got installed in the dog. We did do the board and kennel which I highly recommend! I did stay very proactive with Rocky to maximize results. There have been challenging moments.. but couldn’t have done it so quickly without the program.

We had the most amazing experience with Sit means Sit. We have a small Chihuahua who had a bad barking problem and just needed general command training. We were matched with Dave the most wonderful trainer!! We started out going to the sit means sit facility. Our dog ended up not having any behavior problem there because of nerves so Dave suggested we switch to in home sessions where our dog was comfortable. That was the best idea! They happily changed our sessions with no additional cost and that was exactly what our Doggy needed! We were able to schedule our 5 sessions whenever we wanted and spread them out once a month. Our dog just ended training with Dave and loves him so much! Dave is kind, welcoming, friendly and made us and our dog feel so comfortable. Please check him out I 100000% recommend!!!!!!!!👍🏼😁💙🐶

Our dog is big and high energy. We have two younger children and had to keep her separate from them all the time because she would scare them and knock them over. Walking her was a pain and she always reacted to other dogs and it felt impossible to get her attention back. We did the board and train with Sit Means Sit and Dave was her trainer. I’m telling, I don’t know who this dog is anymore! She is currently roaming around our house with our kids and is responding to my commands. She is still getting readjusted to home but it’s a night and day difference already!! I was so impressed with Dave and how diligently he worked with her! He was so thorough with instructions before he sent her home with me! I feel like we are set up for continued success! We would 100% recommend Sit Means Sit!

We are beyond thrilled with the training our two dogs received at Sit Means Sit! Before the training, we faced several challenges with their behavior. In the car, they were always whining and jumping around, making trips stressful. During walks, we had to make wide berths to keep them from reacting to other dogs, and even then, it was hit or miss. Cola, especially, was super reactive while walking. We also always wanted to take them to dog-friendly venues like breweries and coffee shops, but it was never really an option due to their behavior. Additionally, our little dog, Blanca, used to bark constantly, which was exhausting, but now she barely barks at all! After just three weeks of training with Marcos, the transformation has been incredible. We can now take them on walks without worry, and they respond to all the commands they’ve learned, making it so much easier to manage them. We’ve been taking them out daily, and we see improvement every time. They’re so much more focused and no longer try to approach other dogs or bark excessively. Another huge bonus is that we’re now able to take them to dog-friendly restaurants and coffee shops—something we never thought possible before! We truly appreciate the extra private lessons Marcos provided, where he walked with us in our neighborhood to observe their behavior. This was invaluable as he was able to provide real-time feedback and correct any issues with Blanca and Cola, ensuring they were responding properly. We also love the weekly training sessions at the park, where they get to practice with other dogs in similar situations. It’s been so effective and has made a noticeable difference in their behavior. We are extremely happy with the results and want to give a big shout-out to Sit Means Sit and Marcos for such a fantastic experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch training!
