We cannot thank Dave at Sit Means Sit enough! Our dog Rabbit, a 10 month old golden retriever, came back from training a completely changed pup. Before working with Dave, walking her was nearly impossible—she would constantly pull on the leash, making it especially difficult for me as I am 8 months pregnant. So I had no choice but to have my husband walk her. Dave worked wonders. After her time (2 weeks) with him, Rabbit came back calmer, more focused, and able to walk side by side with me—something I never thought would be possible. It was such a relief and gave me so much more confidence as we prepare to welcome a baby into the family. Dave was patient, professional, communicative with several updates and clearly passionate about helping dogs and their owners. We’re so grateful for his help and would recommend him to anyone struggling with commands, leash behavior or looking to build a stronger bond with their dog. Thank you, Dave!

We had a very positive experience with the Sit Means Sit dog training program. We worked with Adam about 4 years ago and our 5 month old rescue responded so well. We recently decided to rescue a cane corso and foster him. After Panther adapted to our home and was comfortable, we contacted Sit Means Sit for another 5 day program for private training sessions and was set up with Dave. Panther who is 130 pounds and 3 years old was not trained and had developed some bad habits like jumping on people, and eating food off counters. After 4 training appointments with Dave and reinforcing at home what he learned during the appointments, he rarely jumps, food swiping is down 90% and he is highly motivated by praise, love and a few treats when he trains at home and obeys the commands: place, off, heel and sit. We have 1 more appointment left and are in the process scheduling Panther’s final training session. He’s a big love bug and is ready to find his forever home! If you are looking at this review and debating on giving up on your dog…do yourself a favor and invest in training!! I debated on what to do with our pup. My golden doodle pup is 5 months, she had puppy habits (jumping, nipping, NOT listening), I struggled with what to do since I have young children at home. When I talked about giving the dog away, my son broke down and told me that she was a puppy and we should try to professionally train her before giving up on her. I took the advice of my seven year old. And he was so right. I looked through google, found sit means sit, and found Dave. This is only day one with our girl back home after 2 weeks and it is TRULY night and day. Dave was SO good with her and with us. He kept me in the loop through the training with texts, photos, and videos. At our pick up session, he spent A LOT of time with us explaining and running through everything he taught her. We will continue what he taught her at home. Now, we can actually enjoy our family dog versus being frustrated with her. Thank you, Dave! I am forever grateful.
