Hello Stacy, we are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the training services received. Let’s discuss some of the concerns listed since we have not heard from you directly regarding any of these concerns and our last training session for you was September of 2023. We like our dogs to work with multiple trainers for a number of reasons. First, it will ensure an easier transition of leadership/training from trainer to client. Second, it will allow the dog to see training from many perspectives, we utilize a lot of different technique to generalize the tasks and behaviors and give the dog the strongest understanding possible. There are a thousand roads to Rome and we need to use what is best in the moment, as dog training is not one size fits all. When it comes to collar usage, the collar is being used consistently by all trainers in the same manor, but yes the levels on the collar do vary for the task and behavior at hand. As each day here at SMS your dog is learning new skills, the collar usage will vary based off the skill and technique being taught. If there are any questions regarding the usage we are here with ample support. After foundation we felt Teddy was ready to move forward into group training, as explained to all clients, if you or your dog are struggling we are beyond happy to offer additional support through private training one on one lessons before moving to group class as they come included up to one per week for two years after the foundation is complete. Regarding Teddy showing reactivity due to "the effects of training", it’s extremely unfair and unrealistic to say. Let’s be mindful you came to training with teddy at 7 months old. Throughout the training process we gave you information on how to communicate more effectively with your dog, increase leadership, rules, structure and boundaries (Which all dogs thrive on). But considering the fact that dogs do not hit full maturity until the age of 2.5-3 years old, it is a lot more likely your dogs behavior became more sever with maturity and lack of proper management. Which is another reason we offer long term follow up. We wish you the best on your training, and once again apologies you were unable to be successful in the program.
