Sit Means Sit Houston

WARNING The initial boot camp was good but then they swindled us. Our $2k package included a year of free group classes. They gave us a portal link that didn’t work, I tried a portal links on their website; there are no class schedules. My calls and emails were answered with the same links and then not at all. I even literally begged for help on their FB page, which also doesn’t post classes but DOES get updated daily. Nothing. Then about my 10th call I got a text from someone (no name) apologizing and promising a call back that afternoon. One week later I’m writing this review and reporting this as fraud.

One of the worst financial decisions I’ve made in my life. I came in for a consultation for one dog. The trainer offered me a “discount” if I enrolled both of my dogs in a two week boarding/training program. $4,000. I was told I would get updates with videos and I had to keep calling/emailing for those. I went to visit halfway in the program via appointment made and still had to wait 25 minutes to see them. When I came to pick them up, one of the trainers was yelling at several dogs and talking under her breath about other owners. The day I picked up my dogs, the trainer must have been in a bad mood and not interested in showing me what they “learned”. I emailed the office with dissatisfaction and was offered an opportunity to come back a week later. I’m convinced my dogs sat in a kennel for 14 days. They can’t even walk on a leash without beeping their collar. They still have anxiety going through doors and waiting. I wouldn’t dare bring my dogs back for their “immersion” with other dogs. My dogs are absolutely no better when they left than when they arrived. I was told they would have learned more had that gone separate after expressing concern they were not trained to my satisfied. Yet I incentivized to enroll them together. Terrible service and business. These people don’t know what their doing.

*BEWARE* THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SIT MEANS SIT LOCATION! This used to be an official Sit Means Sit. We had our dog trained there in March 2023, and had an amazing experience. We boarded her there in June 2023 and things felt off. Luckily our pup was returned to us safely. July 2023 we were trying to book boarding, and kept getting a weird vague "dog trainer" voicemail. I called corporate Sit Means Sit and they said that location has closed and is no longer affiliated with them. The new owners are still pretending to be a Sit Means Sit. And reading the reviews in the last month it appears they are not qualified to care for our dogs! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!
