UPDATE - Day 8 of no action + a combative conversation with HP. He said he issued a refund but hadn't emailed receipt. I've used Square POS before, notifications of refunds are made simultaneously with the act of refunding. I told him I will be calling back if he doesn't send proof of this made as I told him it's clear how I can't trust him. His response(which was gold btw) was "Do what you gotta do but he has a lot on his plate right now being short staffed. You'll get your money." Grade A customer service. BRAVO! Original post: I've been trying to get ahold of SOMEONE at sit means sit because my account has been charged 4 times in the last 12 days. My account was already paid in full but I keep getting charged. I still have not been refunded the amount I'm owed. Last time I spoke with SMS they said only HP is able to do this action which I find incredibly unprofessional for someone who is never onsite or reachable.

This review is solely focused on the manager HP and the administrative functioning of this office. The trainers/ employees have been amazing so far and are taking great care of our dog. I was overcharged for services prior to dropping off my dog for board and train. I chose to do the payment plan option instead of paying fully up front. I was notified that the issue would be resolved and the manager, HP, gave me his personal number to contact him in regards to this issue. Since then, it has now been 12 days since the second overcharge, and 15 days since the 1st overcharge. Nothing has been fixed and the manager continues to ignore my phone calls, texts and emails. The staff at the office is not able to make the necessary fix, and therefore this all falls on the manager. As of right now, I cannot recommend this place due to the lack of care this manager shows his customers. I do not recommend you spend your money here, unless you want your credit card overcharged multiple times in a week and have to call and dispute the charges and start a claims process. This is my last resort in trying to get the manager’s attention.

I had my dog trained here; the shock collar they provided to say the least is cheap and doesn’t work most of the time. Mandy who helped trained my dog one-on-one was friendly, and extremely helpful. I bought a package of training sessions, and had at least probably close to 40 sessions left. I fell ill and wasn’t able to finish the sessions during the pandemic. I called to see if they could reinstate it but the gentleman (I’m guessing he was the manager) was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. He might as well have told me to go F off. I was unsure of the group training class because my dog is unpredictable, and aggressive towards male dogs especially in a group setting. Meaning my dog will literally try to kill your dog and won’t stop until the jobs done. I tired to warn the instructor what WILL happen. He replied “yea okay”, and sure enough he tried to attack another persons dog but lucky I caught him before he bit the dog. In other words they neglected the safety of the other dogs and mine by not considering my input. I guess he thought I was exaggerating when I spoke my concern. If they would’ve honored my request for the sessions to be reinstated I would’ve been happy to give it another try. But you could definitely spend your money better somewhere else. Please Do your research, the training here is mediocre at best. Also I hardly write reviews much less give a 1 star. The 1 star is for Mandy cause she was nice.

3/10/23 update: Everything was resolved, but HIGHLY recommend paying full amount up front to avoid all of this. Happy with the results/trainers and look forward to continuing to work with them in group classes! 12/30/22 update: Again this review is for administrative.payment process. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and do great work the dogs. Still never received the refund, but was told my final payment would be delayed. Unfortunately this doesn't' make up for all the additional interest I accumulated. My account still reflects thats I owe double was I still owe so still need to settle things. 12/16/22 update: Business owner reached out and "issued refund," but it has not reflected despite sufficient time. A a standard credit card rate of 25% interest, this has cost me about 116$. Will update review as my issue resolves. Dog trainer and training is 5 stars, However this review is regarding payment and administrative process. When you purchase the boot camp, there is an option to pay in full at a discounted price or pay the full price, but in payments over a period of time. I have been charged 3 times within LESS THAN A MONTH. At this rate it appears I have paid up front and I am now suffering the financial consequences of being charged unexpectedly. With inflation and holiday season, these back to back payments are leaving me in a financial turmoil and I am unsure how the holiday is going to look for my family. It is my hope that the manager will recognize the inconvenience and at least provide me with the paid in full price as this could relieve the stress. As of now I CANNOT recommend Sit Means Sit. While the well being and training of my pet is important to me, the financial stress it has caused makes me regret coming here. Will update my review as soon as issue is resolved appropriately.
