I highly recommend Dave at Sit Means Sit dog training. He trained our five month old golden retriever, and more importantly, trained US on how to work with Sunny so that she has good manners and is obedient. Dave helped her to be less timid around other dogs and included other dogs in the training so that we could work on socializing her. It was amazing to see the difference in Sunny. She was relaxed and more confident after only a few interactions with the other dogs. The instruction and tips that he gave to me and my family made a huge difference in just 3 lessons. The best part—he is always available to talk by phone and talk you through any difficulties that you may be having with your dog. We are extremely pleased that we chose Dave to train Sunny!

We could not be happier with the training we have received for our almost 6 month old pup. Dave is an expert dog trainer and easily shares his knowledge while giving great tips, feedback, and insight. My husband and I have been completely wowed by the difference we saw in just one lesson. I recently entrusted Sit Means Sit with training my new, unruly giant puppy, and the results were remarkable! On our first day, my puppy dragged me through the door, completely out of control. Dave, the trainer, took one look at us and confidently said, “You need my help!” After just one full day of training, my puppy returned transformed—calm, responsive, and a joy to be around. This wasn’t my first experience with Dave; he also worked wonders with my chaotic Chihuahua in 2022. Dave was great with our beagle! We adopted our beagle at 4 years old and he had virtually no training, and he had never been on a leash. He knew what some commands meant, but we were really struggling to get him to listen to us. After just a week we already noticed a difference in how well he listened. Dave was very patient and adjusted his training to meet our dog’s specific needs. Our dog even recalls off leash now, which I didn’t think was possible for a beagle! Dave even gave us an extra lesson (and was willing to have multiple phone calls with us) to work through some issues my dog had with my parents dog. We now have a well-trained dog, who still has all of the spunk and silliness he had before training-if anything he seems even more confident!
