Sit Means Sit - Massachusetts

I cannot say enough great things about our experience with Sit Means Sit. Dave has an amazing way with the dogs and the results after just a few weeks are impressive. Our dogs not only act “politely “, but they seem happier and more relaxed. We are now able to enjoy our dogs much more without constantly feeling stressed that we won’t have control over them. Very glad we made the decision to go through the training!

Our dog Beau is on his third home and when he came to live with us, he had some bad habits. However, after working with Dave S., the third time is the charm. Beau is now a well behaved member of the family whether we are out for a walk or home for Thanksgiving. In the pictures you can see that sit means sit, even when two very badly behaving dogs are walking by and raising a ruckus. And sometimes sit means lay down and look upside down from his place while the whole family is sitting around the table enjoying Thanksgiving. He has a strong will but, using what Dave has taught us, Beau is thriving as his behavior continues to improve and his world expands as we are able to take him on trips to places that, without the training, would not have been possible. We couldn't be happier with the results and I can't recommend Dave enough.

We were recommended to Dave by my sister & after seeing how perfectly behaved her Corgi was after the program, we knew we needed to sign up! Dave has worked wonders on our Mini Bernedoodle Millie and enhanced our quality of life. We went to him to correct her eating items in the yard, pulling on walks, and over excitement around people & dogs. He was gentle and thorough in his approach. Dave enforces how training doesn’t stop at Sit Means Sit and needs to continue at home. He was even willing to come to us to work on more difficult behaviors. With the help of Sit Means Sit, my bernedoodle learned great manners on command AND my husband, daughter and I learned how we can help the process. It is really remarkable how smart & polite dogs are with proper training. Because he is about 100 pounds, it was important that he did not jump on people. He learned that, as well as every day commands, with ease. Dave and his staff are top notch from our first interaction on the phone. Highly recommend.

Amazing!! We have an 8 month old dog with all the possible bad habits. He would jump and dive bomb people, bite, nip. He wouldn’t listen. He would try to chew everything in site, rocks, acorns, sticks, sneakers, his bed! He would pull so hard on his leash while trying to walk him that his eyes were bulging and blood shot. Potty training was awful! We really didn’t think we could take it anymore. Now we have a completely new dog that is so enjoyable to walk and be around. He listens to commands and doesn’t jump or bite anymore and potty training just fell into place. We are so grateful Dave!! Thank you!!
