We are so lucky to have found SMSSGV! After several noise complaints of our dog barking, we were stressed and overwhelmed puppy parents. Not only did the SMS team do such great work with our little guy, who learned so much so quickly, but also taught us how to work with him and build a connection that we are excited to be fostering every day. After numerous searches on Yelp, we came across Sit Means Sit and were impressed with the many 5-star ratings. Let me just first start off with that we re-homed Maui when he was 1.5 years old which meant needing to break bad habits like pulling hard on the leash, being reactive and overly excited, stubbornness, etc. We knew Maui, our 5 year old 94 pound Goldendoodle, had potential to be a more obedient and better version of himself, so we decided to give Sit Means Sit a chance and scheduled a free consultation. We signed up with them that very day, and we are super happy that we did! In a short span of only two full day dog trainings, we already received many compliments on how well-behaved Maui is, to the point where a few even asked where we got him trained. We’ve hosted get-togethers at our home, and Maui would stay in his “place” for 60+ minutes with no problem. We are looking forward to the next few months as he continues his journey to be a Canine Good Citizen and a future therapy dog. When I first got my puppy, I started classes with Sit Means Sit. I was nervous as this is my first dog, and I didn’t know how to train him but I just knew I wanted him to be a good boy. Taking him to Sit Means Sit is the best thing I’ve done for my dog, he is so well behaved and listens to me. We go on walks off leash and he stays right by me, but even if he wasn’t by me I know I can recall him every time. I cannot say enough good things about this program and the trainers. Kyle, Frank, and Aaron are so knowledgeable and just want you and your dog to succeed and will help you to ensure that happens. If you need 1 on 1 help, they’ll come to your house or meet you at a park and show you what to do to correct your pup. My dog developed aggression towards bigger dogs after an incident with an untrained dog, and they have been helping me over the past few months to get him over his aggression. It’s life saving, because now my dog can socialize safely. This program takes time and dedication, and is 1000% worth it!! I highly, highly recommend for all dog owners. You won’t regret it.
