I have a alaskan husky approx 2 yrs old he is a pound rescue and have had him a year and a half he is a great dog but I just can't figure out his motivation factor he is not food or treat motivated i still can't get him to come most times refuses to sit or stay the basics let alone off leash training

My dog Luna is large and was wild and uncontrollable. She jumped on everyone that walked in the door. She is super sweet just big. I felt like I was going to dislocate my shoulder when I took her for walks. I found Sit Means Sit and after just 1 training she was better, and she continues to improve as we go on. She is happy and now we both love our walks together. I have learned so much from Kyle. He’s really helped me understand the behaviors and how to work with Luna. Plus Luna loves him! Thank you Kyle and the entire Glendora team!

Starting off this is in no way hate to this training facility. I just believe that people should be warned about the fact that they compulsion based trainers which means there is a chance that your dog will shut down/get worse to this type of training. While I feel that e collar training in general is not bad. The way that SMS trains is so you MUST have your ecollar on at all times. Which in my opinion reliance on anything does not work well long term. I also believe treats and rewards need to be implemented more. Another thing I have noticed is that the sportdog ecollar brand has a much higher shock compared to something like the mini educator which I currently use. They recommend turning the ecollar every few hours which is good but dogs should not be wearing this collar more than a few hours a day. Since then, I have used what I learned and scratched what I didn’t enjoy.

Putters had a few bad experiences with bigger dogs and turned pretty reactive. I missed being able to bring my buddy along to the beaches, trails, and parks - so we turned to Sit Means Sit. We started in August of 2023 and by December Putters was able to stay on place while I moved furniture into our new apartment. By March 2023 he was able to walk at my side off leash! Our confidence has skyrocketed tremendously and I cannot thank the SGV Sit Means Sit team enough! They're always excited to hear our victories and always available to help.

This is by far the best training I have came across. Ive been raised having many dogs my whole life, but having a shiba is different than most dogs. They are very smart and strong willed so they have to trust you. This training has helped me with my confidence and my doggies trust in me to lead. My family and I are very happy with the methods they use.
