As the owner of a highly reactive dog, I really appreciated the empathy and understanding that Sit N Stay gave me when I told them about his aggression. So far, training has made huge improvements to my dog’s behavior. If you need help for your furry best friend, Sit N Stay has a solution! Whether it’s basic obedience, puppy socialization or specialized one-on-one training, this school will provide quality care with flexible scheduling at a reasonable price. Sit n’ Stay was recommended to us when we started to look for trainers who work with dogs and children. We had adopted a young Great Dane from a rescue and were fully prepared for puppy behavior. This was not our first dog and we felt like we could handle bringing another dog into our home. However, we were not ready for the anxiety and behavioral challenges that our new dog had. It honestly left us feeling very overwhelmed and stressed thinking this dog would not be a fit in our home, which was distressing. Maddie from Sit n’Stay was extremely empathetic and answered our inquiry so quickly. She gave us some initial insight into keeping everyone safe until we were able to have a trainer come to the house (which was so quick- we only had to wait 2 days). Kim has been working with us and has really helped us better understand our dog’s behavior. She is amazing with being flexible- the dog had to have emergency surgery during the course of our 4 week training and she easily accommodated this. Additionally, our dog was most anxious with our 3 year old son, who works on his own timeline. Kim knew exactly what to do to work with both the dog and our son to help them bridge the gap in their relationship. They are still a work in progress, but things are headed in the right direction. We would not have been able to navigate this challenging situation without the help of Kim and Maddie at Sit n’Stay.

We’ve been bringing Victor to Sit n' Stay for over a year now, and it has been an incredible experience from the start. Victor is a rescue pup and much larger than our previous dog, so we wanted to make sure he had the right training — not just for good behavior, but also so he wouldn’t knock us over or drag us down the sidewalk on walks. Thanks to the amazing trainers here, Victor has made wonderful progress. Every one of their trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and truly caring. They treat every dog as if they were their own, and it shows in the results. We can’t say enough good things about the team at Sit n' Stay — they’ve given us the confidence and tools to enjoy our time with Victor even more.
