Lagottos are incredibly intelligent dogs, and Oz certainly lived up to that—he is bright, eager to learn, and has such a fun personality. We’re very sorry to see this review, but we do feel it’s important to clarify several statements for anyone reading.<br>Atlas participated in our Puppy Kindergarten program, and training absolutely took place during his time with us. Puppy biting is something we address as part of a much broader puppy training program. At this age, biting is not typically resolved by simply correcting the biting itself. We work on the foundation behind it, including impulse control, appropriate play, redirection, handling, engagement, basic obedience, and teaching puppies how to appropriately interact with people.<br>Atlas is a 12-week-old German Shepherd puppy. During our conversations, I repeatedly explained that management at this age is key and went into detail about what realistic progress would look like. At no point did I promise that Atlas would be fully trained or that puppy biting would be eliminated after three days of training. <br>I think it is worth mentioning that Atlas is an absolutely incredible puppy. He is the kind of puppy trainers love working with. He wants to work, he loves to learn, he loves to please, and he loves people. He deserves patience, consistency, and understanding while he grows and learns.<br>Regarding report cards, there also appears to be a misunderstanding about the schedule. When we spoke by phone, I explained that Atlas would receive an update for his Free Training Day, which he did. I also explained that during his training program, report cards are sent on Mondays and Thursdays. That schedule is also included in the multiple reservation emails sent to you. Atlas completed only three days of his program. He received his Monday report card and would have received his next scheduled report card today. We are also always happy to provide a verbal update when an owner asks for one.<br>Regarding his odor. Dogs are active while they are here and participate in training, outdoor potty breaks, play, and other activities. Had we known that Atlas was repeatedly coming home with an odor that concerned you, we absolutely would have investigated and addressed it. Unfortunately, this concern was never brought to our attention during his Free Training Day or during the three days he attended training, so we did not have an opportunity to address it while he was here.<br>The conversation regarding communication between you and your husband was never intended to question your marriage or "gaslight" either of you. Your husband and I had a detailed phone conversation regarding Atlas's training, and we ended that conversation with what I believed was a clear and mutual understanding of the program and expectations. When a different understanding was later communicated to me from you, I simply asked that you speak with him about the conversation he and I had. That was not a judgment about your relationship; it was an attempt to clarify what had already been discussed.<br>We also want to clarify the financial portion of this review. The Puppy Kindergarten program is $825. Following our interaction at drop-off this morning, I made the decision that continuing the training relationship was no longer in the best interest of either party and ended the program. I issued a full $825 refund despite Atlas having already completed three days of training. While we understand that you are unhappy with your experience, we believe those facts are important context when publicly characterizing our business as a “scam." Sit Now Stay has been training dogs and serving families in our community for many years, and we take both the care of the dogs entrusted to us and the integrity of our business very seriously.<br>We are disappointed that this experience ended this way, but we genuinely wish you and Atlas the very best. He is a wonderful puppy with tremendous potential, and we hope you continue working with him with the patience and consistency that every young puppy deserves.
