Sky Soldier Dog Training

I had an excellent experience working with Brandon at Sky Soldier Dog Training. He helped me with Rosie, my 1 year old toy poodle. Rosie had already gone through a boarding/training program with another trainer, however, she never engaged during that training. I thought she was stubborn because she wouldn't engage and didn't always listen to me. Brandon helped me understand that she was actually anxious and frightened. His knowledge and ability to train Rosie and teach me how to work with Rosie was invaluable! I highly recommend Sky Soldier Dog Training!

We just finished a 5 week session with Brandon. He helped us with our 3.5 yo weimarainer mix, Josie, who we thought was stubborn because she would not listen to us consistently. I watched all the videos and read all the books and nothing was working the way I wanted. Brandon taught us that she was actually anxious which has been life-changing. The skills he taught us have created such a better environment at our home and behavior from our dog. Josie is a “hunter”and previously if she had a scent she was almost impossible to get to come inside. Great when moles are in the yard, not great when it is late and you just want to go to bed. After our sessions she now will come when called 1-2 times, walks on a leash without tugging, and does not try to run out the door every time it is opened....so much better than before lessons, especially during our recent cold snap. We have a 5yo lab mix that we are also going to take to Brandon in a couple of weeks so we can reinforce skills with him. Brandon does a great job of explaining the why behind what he is asking you to do so we can understand our dogs and their behavior. I cannot recommend him enough. The training sessions are 1:1 which is so awesome because he really gets to know your dog, their behavior, and your behavior that is contributing to their bad habits. Just like my daughter, I learned my dogs need limits and are better for it after seeing Brandon. If you are on the fence, do it. It is so worth the time and money to now have a better behaved dog.

I can’t say enough great things about Sky Soldier Dog Training! Ghost has always been incredibly energized and chaotic, making paying attention difficult. I had attempted to train Ghost at home, but always felt he was too distracted. During our first session with Brandon, Ghost calmed down enough to focus on what we were learning. The hardest task for Ghost was learning just to sit still, now we can walk around the block without him getting distracted just because the wind is blowing. Brandon did an amazing job at tailoring his training to fit Ghost and his crazy personality. Ghost has come a long way in just those first 5 weeks!
