Smylish Dogs

By way of context, we are now raising our 5th NYC puppy or 9th NYC dog/cat/guinea pig/hedge hog over the last 25 years on so. In addition, our last 4 dogs were trained by some of the best - those that trained animals for film/TV; those that wrote books, etc. Given our experience with Yana over the last month, she is of the same class and caliber of all our other trainers. You can trust her with your animal of any age. I just hope that Yana does not soon move to Manhattan's UWS/UES where she can command a significant premium to the prices she is charging those in the Bushwick/Bed Stuy/etc corridor that DeKalb Ave cuts through.

Yana, from Smylish Dogs has been a terrific help to us. Our little pug puppy, Linda,, was a bit late getting outside due to health issues and therefore had developed some difficult behaviors. Linda was a reluctant walker...continously stopping and refusing to move. Yana knows her dogs: she came up with just the right the solutions, utilizing both positive reinforcement and adjustments to equipment and now Linda is a happy walker. Also, Linda has been a picky easter and Yana had some helpful things to say about that also. All in all, Yana is someone I highly recommend and is a gifted dog trainer.

Yana has such a natural ease and experienced hand with my new pit-bull puppy Canella that it has instantly improved my relationship with my new puppy. Canella now sits on command and knows "leave it" and has begun to stop nipping as well as beginning to understand the basics of where to go potty. I had a friend over who was incredibly impressed with how well Canella's training was going at such a young age. I love the entirely positive reinforcement methods that Yana has begun teaching me as it has made Canella and I so much happier together, which was clearly noticeable after my first session with Yana. I intend on continuing all puppy training that Yana has to offer as well as calling her whenever I have a long day at work or am going out of town as she does such a terrific and loving job of taking care of Canella...
