I met Toby a while at a nearby park while I was walking our Frenchie who passed away suddenly. We were so devastated but welcomed another Frenchie who had to be rehomed because his previous owner also passed away suddenly. Our furbaby, Mano, is a happy-go-lucky guy, but he appeared to have never been trained by his previous family. He didn't know how to walk on leash or any basic commands like SIT, STAY, COME, etc. The reason we contacted Toby was Mano's inability to sit calmly in a moving car and extreme pulling. Mano would get super anxious during car rides. He was moving in a moving car so much one day that he changed the shifter in my car from D to N, and I started panicking because my car wasn't moving in heavy traffic. I contacted Toby next day. You can tell Toby is very experienced in dog training. We used a dog trainer before, and while he was great, Toby showed a higher level of knowledge into canine minds and behavior, and he is well versed in different types equipment to train your dog. Truth to be told, there are many tools out there for pet parents, but do you know how to use them properly to train your particular dog? Probably not. Our Mano showed improvement immediately after beginning his training with Toby. What has greatly helped us is Toby's explanation of why Mano was doing certain things. You can have a dog trainer that trains your dog, but if you're not trained to be a responsible owner, you will not be able to communicate with or correct behavior of your fur baby. I really appreciate Toby for teaching me and my partner how to use different leashes and tools. Walking with Mano used to be overwhelming and tiring, but now he walks with us rather than himself trying to walk us. We highly recommend Toby for your dog training needs. We referred our friend to Toby for behavior correction related to marking indoors, and he has improved significantly too. We appreciate all the advice and wisdom Toby has shared with us.

What a great experience for us. We have 3 dogs, but hired Toby to work with our 4 yr old dog Bentley. We recently moved to Sherman Oaks and gave up a large backyard for walkability for us and our dogs (we also missed the west side of the valley). The adjustment was easy for us, Rudy, and Lola, but not for Bentley. His leash skills were terrible! We knew we needed a trainer to help with his constant pulling and excessive barking. Enter Toby. What a great guy/trainer. In 4 sessions he helped us get Bentley to follow outdoor commands. I must admit here that Bentley was not a good "student" but the walks are now much less stressful for us and Bentley and we will continue to use the commands and techniques that Toby taught us. In our final session with Toby - we did four sessions - he taught us, and the dogs, commands and techniques to teach sit, stay, drop it, and more. I can't praise Toby's ability enough to work with dog's. He trained us also so we can continue to work on our dogs behavior. He is the real deal. Don't hesitate to hire Toby.
