I adopted my June Bug almost two years ago. She was two at the time, being retired from a breeder. I'd had her three days when I realized I was in over my head! I'd had many dogs, but this poor girl was so shut down and lacked socialization. Sandy came to my house to begin with, just to get her acclimated. We eventually decided on a month of Board & Train. OMG, she came home a different girl! I could go on and on, but she did a complete 180°flip! Junie's been back for a second round of B&T, attends their Friday Adventure Outings to a 15-acre Sniff-Spot, and gets to enjoy an occasional play day at SMDT! Sandy and her staff are the best! They're all animal lovers and cuddlers. ❤️❤️❤️

I had heard great things about Sandy and her team through a rescue group on Facebook. When it came time for a training refresher for our 4 year old Chihuahua-mix rescue, Jax, we booked a 2 week board and train. We were delighted to see photos and videos of Jax, out of his element, enjoying his time and learning some new behaviors! He had never spent a night away from us since he was 10 weeks old but Sandy and her team were so great with him! Upon pickup, Sandy was very communicative and provided us a cheat sheet to aid in our training and reinforcing positive behaviors with Jax. She demonstrated some of his new skills. I also enjoyed watching him being loved on by all the staff. It showed yet again, just what good hands he had been in. We are so happy to have found South Metro Dog training. We now have a place we can trust to have our dogs boarded and trained.

I highly recommend SMDT. Sandy and team were fantastic with our excitable goldendoodle during a 3 week board and train. Our dog was treated with care and respect, and was returned to us happy, healthy, and significantly more obedient. We’ve had him home for two months now, and the progress remains, thanks to the patient and clear training and follow up Sandy provided to us (the humans).Communication was excellent—They were very responsive to all my questions and I loved the video updates on training progress.
