We’ve had a great experience with Southern State k9. It started with meeting the trainer and talking about our goals; where he helped us with direction of what specific things we could work toward.
Our German Shepherd was about 15 months old and a ball of energy. When we picked him up at the end of the four weeks the best part was that he was still our same dog, with energy and personality, but he enjoyed obedience and training.
Our dog is now about 80 pounds and it’s great when friends come over we can have him go to his “place” or “down” and he’ll actually stay there instead of freaking out trying to get attention from visitors (until he’s allowed to).
Walks are 100% easier, and he’ll “heal” when we need him to.
When we finished the homecoming session with the trainer he gave us a great class on how to continue the training and stressed the importance of keeping it up consistently, and it’s still paying off.
I’d recommend training with Southern State K9 to anyone who wants to get their dog started in a focused direction in training, and wants to learn how to make their relationship with their dog even better.

We loved seeing her progress on the Southern State K9 Instagram and really appreciated the text updates as well. Once she had completed the puppy program, Jared brought her home and taught us how to continue her training! The lesson was very detailed and he answered all of our questions, plus some. We will definitely be scheduling more private lessons soon to help refine her and our abilities in order for her to strive!!
