In the summer of 2023, Karen moved to Southport, NC, and rebranded her business from Good Dog Concept Training, LLC, to Southport Pups, reflecting her commitment to fostering positive relationships between dogs and their owners.
Karen's holistic approach to training focuses on building essential life skills for dogs and creating harmonious relationships with their owners. She offers both online and in-person sessions, guiding pet owners through fundamental commands and introducting them to Tricks, Fitness and Movement Puzzles.

Karen is awesome! She is extremely knowledgeable about why dogs behave the way they do and the science behind it. She has taught me (and my dog Luna!) so many valuable games, exercises, and training techniques that have really made a difference. From my time working with Karen, I have seen a definite improvement in my dog’s behavior and I have become more confident in what to do if unwanted behaviors should arise. I enrolled my 8 week old puppy into Karen's class and have been extremely pleased with the progress we've made! The classes are easy to fit into your busy schedule with zoom calls and virtual training and the handouts provide a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend!
