Species K9 Dog Training

My German Shepherd Nova was a very high energy puppy and I was having a super hard time with her. After shopping around and doing some research I came across Jared. What initially stood out to me was that he offered a consult before immediately jumping into training. Not only is he very knowledgeable and friendly, but he’s a fantastic teacher and great at explaining WHY dogs do certain things and really does take a whole dog approach to training. I also would text him with questions and never felt like he was bothered by it. My dog went from not being able to behave on a leash at all, to not pulling on a leash even in a pet store full of treats. I recommend him beyond explanation!

Jared far exceeded my expectations. My dog, Cal, was very reactive. It was difficult to take him for a walk in the neighborhood. He would lunge at people. He would bark, growl, and lunge at other dogs even if they were on the other side of the street. I can now take him anywhere. Crowds of people and dogs in downtown Austin, not a problem. Off leash in high distraction environments, not a problem. A few short months ago, I didn't think any of these things would be possible for Cal. And Jared was able to accomplish this with training that Cal truly enjoyed and looked forward to. Very enjoyable, fair, and humane. Not only is Cal an amazing dog now, the training strengthened the bond between Cal and I. I was so happy with the results that my son and his dog are now working with Jared. Five stars all the way!

I had been looking for a dog trainer for my puppy. I interviewed a couple of trainer's. I wasn't impressed with them. My veterinarian recommended Species K9. I knew immediately after speaking with Jared, he would be the trainer for us. He is an amazing trainer. Jared is very patient and knowledgeable. Within a few months I have an obedient dog. Im able to take her on long walks. Thank you Jared for helping me turn Daisy into the well behaved dog I knew she could be.
