Stephen at Spot On K9 Training completely changed the trajectory of my relationship with our puppy, Gunner. As Gunner approached six months old, I realized that I needed to learn how to give him the confidence, structure, and guidance he needed to become the best version of himself. What I quickly learned was that I needed the training just as much—if not more—than he did! Stephen spent over an hour with us every Sunday, teaching me how to communicate with Gunner, set appropriate boundaries, build his confidence, and give him what he needed to truly thrive. We still practice everything we were taught every single day, and it has made such a difference. The training didn’t just teach Gunner—it taught me how to be the best possible owner for him. Stephen, the owner and trainer, was highly recommended by friends who worked with him to train their dogs. We had 5 private sessions, and I can honestly say that I now have a more balanced, happy, and confident dog who responds well to my recall in various situations. I called Stephen @Spot K9 Training for helping me with my dog’s pulling during our walks. The first class miraculously helped to turn this around. Our walks were filled with anxiety for both of us prior to the class and now no longer happens. Stephen inspired my poodle and I. We contacted Stephen about his e-collar training and couldn't be happier with the results! Our soon to be 3-year-old rescue was mostly well-behaved but could be a little over-eager to play with other dogs, even when they were giving obvious signs that they weren't interested. So we were worried he'd get himself into some trouble when he had more freedom. But with Stephen's balanced positive reinforcement approach, he was able to make good decisions and we were able to help him out when the right decision wasn't so clear. Now he's getting to enjoy Central Park as an off-leash dog and couldn't be happier!
