Stanfur'd k9 - Dog Training

I knew that adopting Cooper at 5 months old was going to be a lot. I didn't know labs had so much energy. I tried training him myself watching YouTube videos but that didn't work. He started howling when left at home, chewing on things when not crated, jumping every time I came back home from or when someone greeted/pet him. Cooper has been very reactive due to his separation anxiety. Cooper is now a well-behaved dog ever since completing the 6-week boarding program with George. He is THE dog whisperer. George is very knowledgeable and has been extremely patient with Cooper and me. He explained how my dog-parenting anxiety was affecting Coop's behavior. Thanks George for teaching me how to continue Cooper's training at home. I highly recommend the boarding program. If when I adopt another dog, I will definitely work with George again.

We adopted our chihuahua mix a year ago and were having issues with her reactivity and housetraining. We finally decided to have her board and train with Jorge after we had a couple in-house trainings with him. Jorge knows animals and humans. He's knowledgable and patient and is very honest and direct about what you can expect from training. Much of the training centers around what humans allow their dogs to do. So he helped us understand how to be more assertive and regimented with our dog, and that we as owners are part of the problem. Once you understand that, you'll be able to understand the dog training. Jorge's way of communication is texts, voicenotes and his facebook group where he posts videos and training tips. So you have to be organized yourself in order to incorporate all the training information (it's not in a personalized report for you/your dog). We learned a lot from Jorge and are still working on incorporating all of the tips he provided.

George is phenomenal. He isn’t just a dog trainer. He’s a dog psychologist and he helps my wife and I understand the dogs behavior and our behavior and how the two interface this is a revelation after having trained two dogs ourselves to realize how many things we do that the dog recognizes as a behavior pattern, and we set ourselves up for issues later on. If this could be six stars, we’d give it. Jan 2026 All the training paid off. A well behaved member of our family and every time we board with George, Bernie comes back better. Still 6 stars.
