STAT K9 Training

High Kudo’s to Tina and her team at STAT K9 Training! After attending the 2 week “boot camp” our 22 month cute, lovable yet manipulative Cavapoo (who would only follow commands with the expectation of a treat/reward) came home with our expectations met. Tina’s methods have proven very effective for both our dog (and ourselves as owners). Although there have been additional behavioral and safety improvements, Mr. Gibbs is now calmer and less reactive (at home, on walks and in the car). A huge plus is that he willingly sleeps in his crate again instead of our bed! I highly recommend Tina Benson at STAT K9 Training!

Tina and her team at STAT K9 Training are amazing! As our puppy grew into a "big boy" (95 lbs at 14 months), we realized we needed expert guidance for his development and training. We sought help for issues like pulling on the leash, jumping on people, "counter surfing," racing out the door when opened, and being unsettled in the car. Walking him was particularly challenging due to his wandering and pulling. The training was not only for him, it was for us too. We were assigned "homework" and we had a few practice sessions with Tina to ensure what our dog was being taught, we could continue at home. This benefit was one of the main reasons we chose STAT K9. As we continue to practice, he has much better control over his excitement. He "waits" patiently when the door is opened, can settle himself on "Place," and lies down calmly in the car, reducing his anxiety. He's improving with walks around our neighborhood, and I was able to walk him into the grooming store without being "dragged." We even spent extra time walking inside, and while he wasn't perfect, he was controlled and learning. He's now a real pleasure to take walks with. With better behavior, we've removed some gates and allowed him into more areas of the house. Tina, we cannot thank you enough. We are proud of the hard work you and your staff have done with him! We placed our 3 year old lab mix Ollie in the board and train program for 2 weeks while we went on vacation. It was so great to have regular video updates to see what he was up to while we were away. We were amazed by his change in behavior. He went from constantly seeking attention (usually stealing random items or barking at us) to being able to sit calmly while we take care of things around the house. He also hasn’t counter surfed once since we’ve had him back! We are so happy with the results and it feels so good to be proud of our dog’s behavior. Give Tina a call, you won’t regret it!
