Stonnie Dennis Dog Training & Boarding

I think Stonnie and his training program are awesome. He advocates practical approaches that foster good behavior. Stonnie gave me numerous videos and clear guidelines to follow with my new Lab puppy. He also interacted online through my training journal to make regular comments and suggestions before I was scheduled to bring my dog down to Kentucky. I worked with my puppy for ten weeks and then took him to Stonnie for four weeks. My puppy clearly had a good time, and he really progressed while he was with Stonnie. The work and interaction with the other dogs was extremely valuable. I am extremely happy with the experience, and more importantly so is my dog.

Kentucky Canine is second to none, just follow his YouTube channel and you'll see why. Stonnie and Amy's no nonsense approach is outstanding. They call it like it is and do it with compassion. You won't find another trainer as knowledgeable or possessing the same work ethic. If you're looking for someone that understands the breeds, educates you on what you should expect from your dog, and gives you tools to become a better dog owner - you're in the right place. If you're looking at multiple places, think about it this way, anyone can use an ecollar to shock a dog into doing what you want. Stonnie's program helps you see the dog for what it can be (it's potential), and it gives you the empowerment to work with your dog in a way that's reasonable and effective -- without bbq'ing your dog with an ecollar. The program is intense and you should be prepared to put in the work, but as such will be elated with the outcome. We went in with the expectation of getting the dog trained and left with no only a trained dog, but a different view on our dog. It's a gift to have a dog that will have a significantly better life because we better understand our dog as a result of his program.

We decided to work with Stonnie as our trainer after falling in love with his style from watching his YouTube videos. I couldn't even begin to share how invaluable investing in his training has been. Our pup is just 14 weeks old and is already outshining most full grown dogs that we know. My favorite part of his training is the journaling system. He works with you for a YEAR, and boy do you get out what you put in - it's honestly a steal. My fiancé and I journal religiously, and Stonnie is in there with us every day, guiding us through the tough moments and sharing in our victories. There's also an abundance of resources to galvanize your progress in his training package. We can't wait or even fathom to see what our dog is going to be like in a year, let alone the next few months. Regardless, we know Uncle Stonnie is going to be there to guide us! Today we walked our daily 3-mile neighborhood walk WITHOUT A LEASH! Izzy (5 month-old lab) spent a month with Stonnie. We brought her home just 1 week ago. We're practicing his techniques every day. She's fully compliant. Comes 100% when called in. She roams to the left and ahead, always off the road and within a 25ft range. She stops and waits if we're walking too slow! She comes to my side and walks slowly across intersections. Amazing results across the board. Thank you Stonnie and crew!
