Strategic K9 Training LLC

We turned to Strategic K9 to help us integrate a new dog (German Shepherd) coming into my two dog (Pit Bull) littermate family who were 10 years old and never had another dog in their life. I know that one of my dogs is not dog friendly with outside dogs. Kevin had a big challenge on his hands. Throughout our training Kevin has always, always stayed in control of the situations, even when the situations erupted in chaos. His calm and controlled attitude results in immediate de-escalation. It made me feel safe and it definitely made the dogs know who was in charge. Kevin was incredibly patient with training us on different approaches we could take in training and teaching us a variety of 'tricks'. It has been nearly a year that we have been working patiently with our new pack and we have had more success than I ever thought I could hope for. We have fully integrated the German Shepherd (Koby) and one of my pitties (Mud) together. They are doing so well. They can play, go outside, and just in general can exist around each other with no problems. They are parts of a pack. And they are getting closer every day. My other pittie (Dylan) is a wild card and cannot be trusted. He's perfectly fine most of the time and then out of nowhere will decide that Koby is the enemy. Luckily Koby is chill about it and doesn't overly react. I don't think this behavior can be changed as Dylan typically doesn't alert us to the change on his head and he has been like this ever since he was younger. However, with Kevin's tools/advice he were able to make adjustments to accommodate Dylan and to keep Koby safe. When all the boys are together, Koby and Dylan are loose leashed to keep them separate and Mud is Switzerland and allowed to roam free. Otherwise, we bought gates that splits the house in half and the yard as well. Dylan often prefers to hang out by himself so it works out that Koby and Mud are often in area and Dylan in another. This has been hard work, but we wouldn't give up on our dogs. We could never have done this without Kevin. He taught us what to look for in our dogs behaviors, he showed us that they could co-mingle with oversight during training which gave us the confidence that we needed, and he gave us the tools and tricks to show us how we could create a safe space for each of our guys. Each one of our guys are happy and feel safe and confident in their new combined home.

We have two French bulldogs that are siblings. We were having a lot of reactivity With other dogs, Pulling on the leash, making it difficult to go on walks. My coworker referred me to them, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Kevin came to the house to evaluate them told me what he thought the best plan would be. We did three weeks of Board and train. I saw a huge improvement they were more calm on walks Now we are able to take them out with us to restaurants and cafés that allow dogs. We have also used them when we went out of town. They watched our dogs for us. I also really like that. They would update us with pictures and messages, letting us know how the training was going. This review is long overdue! We did the 3-week day train program with Strategic K9 earlier this year, and the difference in our dog's behavior is truly night and day. From the very beginning, communication and scheduling with Michelle and the team was easy and stress-free. Kevin did such a great job training our dog, he really tailored the program to fit her bubbly personality and brought out the best in her. Not only did he teach her, he gave us helpful tips and tricks to keep things going once she came home. We also boarded our dog with them during our honeymoon, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in great hands. We can't thank Kevin and Michelle enough for everything they've done, we are so grateful! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, effective, and personalized training.
