How do you stop dogs from pulling on the leash, especially during hikes or walks?

At Strong Bond Dog Training, we take a trust-based approach to leash training. Instead of forcing your dog to walk in a rigid position, we teach them that leash walking is a partnership. Do you have any puppy training tips?

Yes! The best thing you can do is start puppy training early. Your puppy is always learning—so the sooner you teach them boundaries, communication, and leadership, the easier it will be as they grow. Our puppy training programs focus on socialization, leash training, basic requests, and trust-building, ensuring your pup grows into a well-balanced adult dog.

Question on Google
What is the difference between obedience training and trust-based training?

Obedience training focuses on making the dog comply with commands, often without addressing the root cause of behavioral issues. Trust-based dog training, on the other hand, looks at why a dog is acting a certain way and teaches them through communication, leadership, and relationship-building. This leads to lasting behavioral change instead of just quick fixes.

Over the last few years, Alex has trained a couple of my dogs and several of my friends' dogs. I am happy with his service and his great insights into improving my relationship with my fury friends. Highly recommend him.

Alex helped us with our 4 year old med-large mix dog NewYork, she was very difficult to handle especially to walk with a baby. She had aggression towards other dogs and pulled very hard. Alex helped us break her of her behaviors and got her prepared for service training. We get complimented all the time now when we go to friends houses. She is one of the most behaved dogs I have ever owned or lived with. Unfortunately we moved out of state but I will highly recommend Alex and strong bond dog pack to anyone having issues or just want more training done.

We are so appreciative for the help we received. He was able to take us back to the roots of how we think about our relationship with Bowzer and what is expected from from us in how we approach the bond between us and him. Thank you very much for the help and training tools you gave us to apply in tandem with our thinking.

Alex is a great trainer. He’s great at explaining his method and my dogs loved him. We had one who never listened, and one who was very dog aggressive. With consistent practice, they both have improved and we see a huge difference. He teaches us to understand our dogs, and I think that contributed to our success in the training. I would definitely recommend Alex and his team!
