I am glad every day that I found Strutt Your Mutt. There are no other alternatives in this valley for professional dog trainers/boarding. Erika & Hillary helped us build the confidence we all needed to help our dog learn how to stay away from stressful situations and become better people-dogs. There is a psychology involved with working with anxious and hyperactive dogs & people and Erika has mastered it!

We inherited a Wheaton Terrier when a good friend passed away. We knew Lola prior to his passing and had her in our home and knew she got along with our cats. Little did we know what we were in for. We too tried a trainer and it was a very ho hum experience. We learned pretty quickly that Lola was not socialized properly and very difficult to walk. She was very reactive to people, pets & especially children. What we thought was being happy & excited, we soon learned was extreme anxiety & stress for her. We turned her over to Erika after seeing the results from our neighbors dog. A 2 week program turned into 3 for Lola and it is the best $$ we have ever spent. We have a transformed dog and a more peaceful household. She is now crate trained and place trained. We can walk her on a loose leash without a battle and no aggression to other dogs or people. What a great alternative to giving up a pet or living in pet hell. Erika and her group are wonderful and we love the fact that we can now board Lola with them and she gets the benefit of sticking to her training & not coming home all amped up. I was consulting with another local trainer that offered NO help to me for my newest dog. In fact, I was able to achieve more on the knowledge I had gained from other trainers in my past. But, I was SO glad when I found Strutt Your Mutt. They helped me tremendously on crate training and walking this newest member of my pack. I really could not have done it without them! Not only that, but they helped me with my other pack members. It was embarrassing when someone would ring the door bell and when guests would come over. My dogs were out of control. Strutt Your Mutt came to my home and gave me the tools to correct the behavior. It is the humans that need the knowledge to guide their dogs. My dogs are happier now, calmer now and more well-adjusted. I could see the change in them. My dog sitter also noticed the change and told me to keep up the good work. I refer Strutt Your Mutt as much as I can because I know they can help the human help the dog. I know of several dogs that are leading much more calm and happy lives after their time with Strutt Your Mutt. Erika, Leah and Hilary are amazing and have a wide variety of knowledge to help you with your dog. I can’t say enough about Strutt Your Mutt. I really could go on and on about how great they are and what a difference they make in the lives they touch.

I couldn’t be more impressed with Strutt Your Mutt and the success we have had with our rescued puppy, who started off very insecure and fearful. Truth be told, they did a fantastic job training us humans which enabled us to help our pup be his best self and overcome his fears. The thing that I have been most grateful for is knowing that I can reach out anytime for advice, clarification, reassurance, whatever (and I do). Erika is all in. She really knows what she is doing and she is able to share that knowledge with others in a way that resonates with anyone who wants to do what is best for their dog - not everyone can do that. Our puppy is now just over one year old and he continues to improve as we continue to work with him. We continue to send him to board with them every now and then so that he can socialize with the Strutt Your Mutt pack and visit Erika and Leah. Last but not least, these guys love what they do and it shows. I always appreciate the texts, pictures and videos they send of milestones and just fun moments when he is with them. I could go on, but the point is they are fantastic!
