About Suburban Dog Training Club
Suburban Dog Training Club is a nonprofit organization established in 1969 and incorporated in 1978, offering lessons to members and nonmembers at a reasonable cost. Classes are held in our own heated, air-conditioned, fully-matted building in Huntingdon Valley, PA which is easily accessible from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Our mission is to encourage obedience training of both purebred and mixed-breed dogs, to conduct classes for training dogs and their handlers and to provide, by way of our demo teams, entertainment for schools and for people in charitable institutions, nursing homes and hospitals. We offer day and evening classes.

We have a 7 year old rescue from The North Carolina floods. He is a Maltese mix (?)...about the size of a Scotty. We need him to learn the “doggie social graces” so we can travel with him. Do you offer this kind of training? What are the costs?
We offer all levels of classes, so yes we teach dogs how to get along. There is no special social graces class, but a beginners class is a good way to learn how to get along. Our website SuburbanDogTraining.com has descriptions of our classes and the current fees. You can download a class application there, too. Thank you for the question.

I am not an employee of Suburban's but just finished a Puppy Training Course with them. If you look on their website you will find the list of classes they provide. It also will provide the contact name for each class group and phone number of I recall correctly. Reach out to them directly. My suggestion is to also ask to attend one class without your dog to make sure you find the trainer the right fit for you. Good Luck:)
