We are so grateful for our time with Stasia! She is incredibly kind, patient, and an absolute expert in dog psychology and behavior. She helped us work through our dog’s resource guarding while also teaching us how to recognize her tells and guide her in moments of anxiety. Not only did our dog improve, but the sessions were equally valuable for my husband and me. Stasia gave us practical tools, confidence, and ongoing support—always available to answer any questions. We’ve learned skills that will benefit us for years to come. We cannot recommend her enough!!

August 2025. I have just returned from an extraordinary two weeks of one-on-one HRD training with Stasia at Synapse Canine. Stasia put a training together that included hours of field time with my dog and me, slideshows for more in-depth information, a list of books to read to continue my learning, and a demonstration of the basic canine gear for a search dog. Her even-keeled, calm training style was amazing to watch and was very effective with my relatively high-strung dog (and me!). Through Stasia I learned to observe my dog at a far higher level than I ever have before and I got a greater understanding of dog behavior. When I started the two-week training I had no idea whether either my dog or I would be effective as an HRD canine team; I left with a strong foundation of search skills and the confidence to continue the training with my dog and developing our skills as a working search team. I have tremendous admiration for Stasia's skills as a trainer and I highly recommend Synapse Canine Learning Center.

Stasia was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with!! From the moment i texted her with help & to our first & last training she was extremely helpful. My main goals with Maverick was recall & off leash training. In 4 weeks he mastered the goal. I cant say how much i am relieved to know how to work with him & the tools i know now. Stasia is not only great to work with, but the knowledge she has behind how YOUR dog works is absolutely amazing. You can tell she knows what she is talking about & that is what you need with a trainer and she keeps everything very personal throughout the training. I seriously cannot thank her enough & Maverick says thank you!!!

When we found Stasia, we were desperate. We had been told our dog would need put down due to his reactive aggression. From the moment she arrived for the evaluation I knew she cared and wouldn't stop until she helped us. Within weeks our dog was completely changed. All of her suggestions, life alterations and training techniques have made him exactly what we've always wanted! She is very knowledgeable, patient, caring and an all around wonderful person. When I started looking for a trainer for my rescue dog, Daisy, the last thing I wanted was somebody who was gonna work with a shock collar or some kind of other punishing method to try to reinforce behaviors. She did not need that. What she needed was clea direction, positive reinforcement, and motivation for doing the tasks that I wanted her to do. I'm so fortunate I found Stacia at Synapse Canine Learning Center. She's phenomenal and her understanding of dog psychology is way beyond the scope of the traditional trainer. She gave me so much more than training. She gave me support and my husband support. She gave us book resources. She gave us all kinds of ideas and she was phenomenally supportive in everything that we did. She took my calls on the weekends when I had challenges in the beginning and I just can't say enough about Stacia and particular in this organization as well. If you're looking for a trainer, it's because you want to have a happy, high-functioning relationship with your pet who you want to be part of a social interaction and a performance interaction that supports your goals for the pet. I can't say enough about avoiding punishment models, and working with motivational models. In that regard, please consider working with Synapse.
