Tails Up Dog Training

We have used Tails Up for training our 2 dogs. We had a wonderful experience both times, most recently went through puppy kindergarten obedience. Bonnie is very knowledgeable and patient, and also no nonsense (which we love) making the class both effective and fun. Our puppy loved going each week, and we noticed real progress in both obedience and confidence. The classes are also reasonably priced, which makes the quality of training even more impressive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a positive start to their puppy’s training journey.

Tails up has now helped me train 3 dogs. Their teachers are wonderful. They have everything from puppy kindergarten for socialization skills, beginning obedience for those starting out with an older dog, or maybe need a refresher. You can get further training in Obedience up to competitive level, get AKC Canine Good Citizen Certified. Teach your dog some new tricks or nose work. Knowledgeable staff can help with everything you need to become a better trainer for your dog. They have allowed me to build a deeper connection with my dogs. I will be bringing all of my dogs here in the future as well.

Tails Up teaches you how to effectively communicate with your dog. I brought our 1.5 year old rescue dog to the basic obedience class and I am thrilled with my dog’s progress! When we started class my dog would bark, lunge, and snap at other dogs, especially when he was on a leash. My dog also struggled to walk on a leash. After the first class, I was equipped with tools and strategies to manage the behavior. Now my dog can be around other dogs without issue and is happy to follow commands. Our trainers easily managed our class and each dog received individual attention. Thank you, Tails Up! We can’t wait to sign up for another class.

As someone who lives and breathes for her dogs, knowledgeable trainers who are truly invested in a dog's wellbeing and potential is a must, which is why I've been taking my dogs to Tails Up Dog Training for years. Owned and operated by a many MANY times over AKC national champion, Kori Bevis, with trainers who have competition accolades of their own, Tails Up is quality training. The best of the best. But perhaps most importantly, these are 'dog people' (as is their clientele) who just genuinely love dogs. I have a Golden Retriever and a Rottweiler, each with their own needs and personalities that are not only understood by Tails Up, but also embraced, with training adjusted accordingly. No one-size-fits-all approach here! Bottom line, there's no shortage of trainers/schools competing to be among the best, and Tails Up sets the bar. Shout out to Mara who my dogs and I adore. Her kindness, patience, and expertise has helped them tremendously:) Monday evening Novice class is the highlight of our week!
