Not a great experience, maybe good if you have a NEW dog, otherwise, kind of a waste of money and time. Laura is nice, probably best with small dogs, but the classes are really for people who know very little about owning a dog. I was hoping to get into her City 2 training, but it was full. At that time, she told me I would still get a lot out of City 1. I feel that was a lie and misleading on her part. She did tell me there would be talking points, but she also said, "every dog can benefit from city 1." That is not a true statement. Can every person learn something from 1st grade math.... no...... 1st graders can learn something, maybe older kids who missed the fundamentals, but once you know how to add that's that. If your dog knows how to sit, stay, and lay down, and you have know what food dogs can eat and not eat, then there's not much in this class for you. It is a LOT of talking. Most of the dogs are bored. Typical class: Start with talking about your week 5 mins, work on calling your dogs name and sitting 10 mins, more talking for 15 mins about food choice, leash choices, how to touch your dog, how to call its name----- again good info if you are super new to dog ownership, finally more training time working on grabbing your dogs attention by calling its name for 10 mins, more talking 10 mins, class almost over so finish with another 5 min training sessions and then more talking. End of story, I talked with Laura, she said there was nothing she could do and I would lose my money. Too bad.
