About Texas K-9 Academy
Texas K-9 Academy provides board-and-train programs for dogs and their families across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Established in 2016 and based in Little Elm, we help owners build everyday skills with their dogs, including leash manners, polite greetings, coming when called, and obedience around distractions. Our programs include foundational obedience and advanced on- and off-leash training, with owner instruction and follow-up support to help carry training into life at home. My Vizsla puppy (upland dog) spent 4 months with Liz. Liz did a great job. She came back doing retrieves, water retrieves, sit, here, kennel trained, off, etc. I would totally recommend her!
Liz was great with our adopted 1 year old female black mouth cur Roxie. Liz took the time to come to our home to see Roxie interact with her new family. Liz did a great job teaching our new family member how to behave appropriately in the house and out side. I definitely recommend her talents for your training needs.
I brought my chocolate lab puppy who at the time was 10 weeks old. My pup had shown 0 interest in retrieving and never thought about picking anything up at all. I brought my chocolate lab puppy who at the time was 10 weeks old. My pup had shown 0 interest in retrieving and never thought about picking anything up at all. Given she is supposed to be my hunting partner I was concerned. I contacted Liz and she said she would be happy to help. I picked my dog up last Saturday (after 2 months). She is now retrieving like a 9 month old who's been in training its whole life. When I took her to her formal duck trainer he wanted to see what she knew. He praised my dog constantly saying how incredible it was that a 4 month old pup could retrieve the way she was and that she was well beyond her age in ability. I chalked it all up to Liz. She also did the potty training and all the other good stuff, but her ability to bring out the best of a retriever is incredible.
Liz is amazing! She helped transform our very fearful rescue lab into a wonderful, happy-go-lucky family dog. We HIGHLY recommend her obedience training. This was a 4-week class that taught us as much as it did our dog. (And did I mention that she comes to your house for training?) Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't say to us, "what a good dog." She is our dream dog thanks to Liz.
