The Academy for Canine Behavior and Training (formerly Taming the Wild)

They trained our dog Diesel, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The staff was awesome—friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our trainer, Nick, did an excellent job. He was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to work with Diesel and help him improve. We saw a huge difference in our dog’s behavior and confidence. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality dog training!

Bryan and his team at the Academy for Canine Behavior and Training are phenomenal! My 208lb mastiff, Hobbes, struggles with reactivity, especially on the leash but now we have the tools to keep both of us safe while letting Hobbes explore the world more. I trusted the team with my best friend and I couldn’t be happier with their expertise and communication during Hobbes’ board and train program but especially after I picked him up, as we mold the Academy’s training techniques into our daily lives. Staff is Awesome! Friendly, Caring, Helpful and they did everything they could to make this a good experience for my dog and me! Facilities are SO CLEAN and WELL CARED FOR!! Bryan and Nick are excellent in their knowledge and training! They also are very caring of the dogs and the owners. I received videos and text updates everyday while my dog was with them and they’ve made it clear they are always available to help with any issues or needs once boarding/training is complete. The staff who assist Bryan and Nick are very welcoming, friendly and helpful! This is a VERY well run operation!!

This is our rescue Great Pyrenees mix, Bear. He came to us spontaneously at just 3 months old and quickly became a part of our family. Bear has always been a sweet puppy with lots of love and energy, however, he came with early signs of resource guarding and unpredictable behavior. From the first conversation with Bryan, we felt immediately at ease and understood. He explained Bear’s behavior in a way that made sense and he gave us confidence that with the right structure and guidance, Bear could kick his bad habits and succeed. We cannot thank Bryan, Nick, and the academy staff enough! Bear came home just in time for Christmas as almost a completely new dog. Bear now listens to commands, has shown no more signs of aggressive guarding, and is now a pleasure to take for walks. We did the basic board and train + remote collar enhancement. Under Bryan’s guidance, the remote collar has been one of the best tools for Bear. It gave us that communication we needed to promote consistency and structure. We highly recommend The Academy for Canine Behavior and Training to anyone seeking training that builds confidence for both dog and owner.
