My 6 month German shepherd puppy is very timid around strangers (we think his last owners abused him) and other dogs and will whine and almost throw up from fear. Is he still welcome here since it might be harder for him to be with other dogs/people?
Yes! They really understand dogs, and how their brains work, and will help you to not only understand your dog's behavior better, but IF you put in the time and work, will help you strengthen the bond and trust between you and your dog.

Yes! I would highly recommend a behavior consult and they will recommend the best next steps for your pup. We have a fearful dog and they are helpful and caring. But, also expect to do some hard work to teach your pup and yourselves how to communicate and deal with those fears. They will help you do that work, for sure. Good luck!!

This center focuses on the relationship with owner and the dog. Not dog with other dog relationships. They are also very experienced with behavior needs and training to help. :) see what a behavioral consult can help you with :)

I made my 1st visit for my full size dog yesterday and when I saw the "crates" gages stacked on top of one another it freaked me out.
These cages have no mobility for those full size dogs, claiming to be a 20min rest multiple times then play. It's cruelty to animals as they can't move so panic attacks would be most likely for my pup.
I wish they didn't place the dogs in those limited cages because otherwise it seemed nice.

These people truly care and after decades of experience Jane knows how to teach in a clear and highly effective but also fun and simple way. I highly recommend the Canine Center for any dog issues or needs

Working with the team at the Canine Center has been so great! Jane is my favorite trainer and has made this experience fun and enjoyable for everyone involved, including our 107lb GSD! All staff members are kind and caring people. They really know the dogs and care deeply about them. We have been to other places in Austin and we were feeling overwhelmed on how to help our dog while protecting him from traumatic training situations and the Canine Center saved the day. Honestly this place is a life saver! Please give them a try if you are looking for knowledgeable and kind trainers.

Beautiful facility had a great experience with my trainer. I really liked the Canine Center because I didn’t have to sign up for a 6 session package to address a few problem behaviors.
