The Champion Farm

Edgar came out to do an in home session, before we send our new foster fail, Franklin to 2 weeks at Champion Camp. Franklin is a German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Husky mix and at 6-7 months was pushing 50 pounds and we knew we needed help to work with him as he was already counter surfing, jumping on his crate and tables outside & was a big ole floppy puppy who truly didn’t realize his size. We want to make sure we are equipped to be good owners and that Franklin is a good host when we have guests over. In that one home session, we were given tools to help Franklin (& ourselves) and our out dog Finn also benefited from it AND we saw improvement with Franklin but knew we would have to be consistent. I like that Edgar requires in home sessions before Champion Camp. It’s easy to send a dog to someone else to spend two weeks working with, but are you willing to put the time and effort in at home to work with the dog and make it a win win for everyone. Edgar takes the time to explain the whys behind aspects of the training - that honestly we didn’t get (and didn’t understand) when we sent Finn to training 5 years ago. It all made so much more sense and has truly helped us. Franklin heads go Champion Camp January 6th and we are so excited to learn more and see what he learns while he is there. We feel it is worth every penny and minute that we invest. After the 2 weeks he comes home & we get another in home session - which we love because Edgar also goes out of his way to include our 5 year old and help teach him how he can help & things he can do. Taylor is extremely responsive, organized and professional - they both have been very easy to work with. I know when Franklin goes to champion camp he will be in excellent hands. Also - having adopted 2 dogs from rescues, (Wilson Animal & most recently Tunica Humane Society). we love that Edgar works with rescue dogs (and rescues - we ❤️ Tunica Humane Society) to make them more adoptable and to work with them on their behavior and prepare them for their best life. ❤️

I highly recommend The Champion Farm! I called so many places to help my dog who is on the agressive side. Either they couldn't help me or they were not reliable or way out of our budget. Someone referred me to Edgar and I am so grateful to him! First of all he is so professional and explains the "psychology" behind the dogs behavior. He came to our house and saw our dog in his natural setting and within one session our dog has completely changed! I am honestly in shock how quickly he changed! We also have a baby so this has been a huge shift so that we can feel safer with our dog. He was open and honest with me and the price was reasonable and he taught my husband and I what to do to change our dog's behavior. I would highly recommend them for training!!! I learned so much from this one session. I am So grateful! Thank you!

I HIGHLY recommend The Champion Farm when it comes to advice and hands-on guidance for your dog. Edgar came directly to my house and helped me in person work on different issues I was having with our dog. Edgar is extremely knowledgeable and brought his own dogs to help with the training. Definitely worth every cent I paid to have him come to the house and direct me on how to handle different situations!
