The Cultured Canine

We had worked with several other trainers previously and despite our efforts, we had little success in addressing the concerns that we had about our two year old Golden. After hearing about The Cultured Canine from our daughter and her friend, both had sent their dogs to The Cultured Canine Board and Train programs, we had our dog evaluated and immediately knew that Lucas and Megan could help us. Although we are still a work in progress now that our dog is back home with us, we have seen great improvement in our dog's leash walking, greeting people, socialization and overall general obedience. We are receiving regular support from the trainers as we learn what we need to do to continue the behaviors that were established during his training. Lucas and Megan are very knowledgeable, professional and approachable. They are focused on making our dog the best he can be while helping us to learn how to do that in our home and in public places. We are so thankful to have found The Cultured Canine and would highly recommend them to any dog owner who is looking for the highest quality of training and support.

We recently had our 5-month-old Labrador, Colt, participate in a three week board and train program for behavioral and obedience training, and the experience was exceptional. We did at home sessions, and paired with Jack. He wasn’t just a trainer—he was a game-changer for our relationship with Leonard. Our house was on edge with a smart and stubborn puppy. Megan at The Cultured Canine changed things for us with a few weeks of board and train, and continued support after. Can't recommend her enough- she is knowledgeable, compassionate, worked towards our (expansive) goal list, sent us cute photos of our girl so we could remember we adored her, and brought her home to us and supported us through her transition back without judgement. Our pup Toby did a 5 week board and train and he came back a well behaved boy! He learned so much about self control while training here and his separation anxiety has improved tremendously. He learned proper leash walking skills, is warming up to his crate, and uses his dog bed as his wind-down space even in a busy house. Lucas and his team know what they’re doing and they are fantastic at it! They care about the wellbeing of the dogs in their care and give them personalized training while also getting them socialized with other dogs.
