Don’t be fooled by the reviews of unassuming customers who haven’t had an extensive tour of this filthy facility. This place is covered in ants and roaches..Not even a small amount, it’s ALOT, like a lot… they crawl into your dogs food bowl, resulting in your dog ingesting bugs, and sleeping beside them in their kennel. There’s no proper sanitation approach here, either. Just mopping around fecal matter and urine, barely scratching the surface. Overall the worst cleanliness I’ve ever seen in a dog facility BY FAR… I don’t know how they’ve been able to get away with this for so long. No adequate system in place for tracking the dogs. and did I mention how they leave dogs in the yard by themselves? Very careless, as any sane person would realize this obviously results in unwanted mounting, and fights that could turn deadly, I’ve never known any facility who would be ignorant enough to do this.. shows you how much they really know about this field. Don’t send your dog here if you actually care about them.

My sweet cockapoo, Penny Lane, was so out of control that I thought I would have to re-home her. As a last resort, I called The Dog Wizard Charlotte. They recommended an 18 day “staycation”. So, I took her!!! Best thing I ever did. Under the care of trainer Amber Marshburn, my puppy is a different girl. Amber helped her get over her fears & anxieties about everything. She doesn’t jump on people, pull on the leash, or eat anything & everything she finds on the ground. I can now take Penny places and she is great. I have the puppy I always wanted. I highly recommend The Dog Wizard and Amber.

My poodle has been going to Dog Wizard Charlotte since 2024. They have helped us both build confidence and navigate the world for fun and adventures. He is super smart, so they have helped me figure out to to beat interact with him and teach him new things. We have done basics as well as tricks, agility and some scent work. He has worked with all of the trainers there, and while it takes him a bit to warm up to new people, he adores everyone at the Dog Wizard facility. I cannot say enough nice things about them and how they care for the dogs in their care.

I've used their services 3 times over the last 18 years, so I was surprised to see I hadn't written a review yet! They definitely know what they're doing & as long as you follow through with what they teach you, it sticks. That's why I keep coming back! It's expensive but worth it if you're wanting a dog with manners & obedience for the rest of their life! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone & everyone (I have referred people over the years, but no idea if they actually went through with training).
