The Dog Wizard Charlotte

Had my pup here for a tuneup up on some behavioral issues and the outcome was a major Success! I really am ecstatically happy about the transition. The Dog wizard team that I always deal with make me feel safe giving my pup over for a short or long stay there. Amy, Leah and Phieffer made sure our stay was a perfect . Kiki (and all of Dog Wizard) was phenomenal!!! My Mara is not treat, toy, or praise motivated - and is genuinely learning how to be a dog after adoption. Kiki took all of this in stride, helped her feel safe, comfortable, and confident- and genuinely improved her quality of life. Her name recall, leash confidence, and comfort in her crate is light years past what I could’ve imagined. I can’t wait to keep working with Dog Wizard to continue to see Mara’s growth.

I firmly believe a well trained dog makes a happy home. For over 25 years plus, I have had trainers for my dogs and my horses. With my new Portuguese Water Dog (PWD) puppy, I found The Charlotte Dog Wizard, after much research and interviewing. He is a very smart and high energy pup. Meeting Kiki, who has become my pup’s trainer was a perfect fit from the start. Sleepover camp was the right choice for our family to immerse my boy into consistent training for 3 weeks with Kiki. Nikko (my PWD) was socialized, and gained confidence, developed good behavior habits and discipline, and, notwithstanding, had a blast at camp and came home a very happy boy! Not only did Kiki train my pup, but she’s taken time to teach me consistency in training methods for Nikko’s continued growth and development. Kiki’s exemplary professionalism, including superior communication skills, problem solving, and attentive listening goes without saying. She is always available when we need to fine tune. And when we come back to The Dog Wizard, Nikko is over the moon with joy and can hardly contain himself when he sees Kiki. Going forward,Nikko loves day care just to be having a fun day outing. He even loves when he gets to board overnight at The Dog Wizard He can’t wait to see everyone, especially Kiki!

Teddy has benefitted so much from his training, boarding and enrichment with Dog Wizard. He walks confidently on his leash and follows his commands and is working towards his off-leash obedience and agility skills. Kiki, Teddy’s main trainer with Dog Wizard, is amazing and provides us with constant support in our learning journey. Teddy enjoys going to work with us, baseball games (bark in the park), hikes, eating out with us at breweries and restaurants, and soon travel on airplanes! Thank you Dog Wizard!

If I could give Dog Wizard 1000 stars I would. They are truly the most compassionate business. My sweet baby girl Koda did their 3 week board and train for dog reactivity and leash pulling. They posted weekly pictures/videos of her, and she had the time of her life! She came home a whole new dog in terms of training; I couldn’t thank them enough! As an emergency veterinarian, I will be recommending them to every client I know :) thank you again to Dog Wizard for your amazing service and empathetic attitude towards our fur babies.
