The Dog Wizard - Dog & Puppy Obedience Training Fort Myers

Remi is my 3 yo rescue Barbet who I’ve had for 1 yr. Now that she’s comfy in her new surroundings she decided she’s the boss. As a result if something gets her attention she darts to catch it. Especially squirrels. Walks had become difficult and she recently pulled me over in the street and up the neighbors driveway. My friend recommended Dog Wizard. Kat was AWESOME!!! She now walks at my pace in heel position, does not pull or tug or try to go her own way. She goes to place until I call her, has mastered sit and down and working on recall. Not only did Kat do an amazing job tackling her main problem of distractions but reinforced her basic behaviors. I loved working with her and look forward to continuing training with her. Definitely worth the price to have a well trained good citizen doggie.

I brought my 65 lb. year and a half Boxer Pitbull furry baby for a two-week Board and Train Program, where he stayed at their facility full time. I first spoke with Corrie, who assessed the situation and answered the many questions I had, and recommended the best fit for Hopper. To paint a picture: before I brought him him he was super difficult to walk (he had knocked me to the ground and dragged me through the grass a few times), super reactive to dogs, domineering with my 11 year-old son, and in general difficult to have him stay put. He was paired with Patrick, who texted me regularly throughout the two weeks with pictures and updates of his progress, and we also spoke on the phone a few times (leaving him there was difficult for us D:). Patrick was always so helpful and responsive - and when he brought him back to our home he gave us a clear and detailed breakdown of what Hopper had learned, and walked us through what daily life should look like for the learning to continue. I can definitely say that Hopper is a changed doggo! He learned 5 key commands that have helped us have him be calmer and more integrated into our daily activities. He listens more. And yes, he's still crazy and goofy because that's who he is, but we now have tools to redirect his behavior and we finally feel safe and in control, and can enjoy him so much more. Patrick truly was a miracle-maker... it's been two months, and the results are still present! It takes a constant commitment from us as humans to make sure what Patrick taught him is cemented. The Dog Wizard was an exceptional experience that we highly recommend. Our four-month-old Lainey spent 14 days working with Briauna (Bri) as part of the board and Jumpstart program. Bri is incredibly knowledgeable, confident, dedicated, and caring. As new and nervous parents, Bri kept us well-informed throughout Lainey’s stay, providing updates and pictures. Upon her return, we immediately noticed a positive difference in Lainey. She learned obedience commands and is now great walking on the leash. We have Bri set her up for success, and we are eagerly looking forward to continuing her training. Thank you to Corrie, Bri, and everyone at The Dog Wizard for taking such good care of Lainey!

My rescue, Kali, has become more anxious and reactive as she’s gotten older. She just turned five, and I was worried it might be too late, but the Dog Wizard team didn’t hesitate. Patrick was her trainer during the 2 week jumpstart camp and did an amazing job! He gave Kali the confidence she needed and showed us how to keep her training going at home. He was also very patient in ensuring I knew what Kali would need from me to be the best version of herself. Corrie was also very understanding when Kali had a spine injury just a few days before her scheduled training and was so accommodating about her recovery and rescheduled us twice when needed. We really appreciated all the pictures and updates, they made me feel a lot better when I was missing her the most.
