Tate was patient and polite as I explained my dog’s issues and offered thoughtful and effective suggestions when I raised concerns and had questions. Tate was such a gift to our family and especially to our 8 month old golden retriever, Lemon! He was so kind and gentle with Lemon and you could see how much she adored Tate just by the way she paid such close attention to him. Tate really knows how to understand doggy language! He was able to have her learn new commands and skills we requested in our consult in two weeks. She no longer pulls on the leash, she was able to understand multiple commands and now I have the skills to help redirect unwanted behavior. He was very professional and sent us video updates everyday. He explained everything so throughly and helped me understand the why behind everything. Truly so grateful for Tate. Not only are we able to take better care of Lemon now , she seems so much happier too! I give a solid 10/10! I will definitely be using him in the future. :)

Working with the dog wizard was an amazing experience. I highly recommend!! Tate was our trainer and he blew it out of the water. Our pup, Boone is a 9 month old full of energy. He struggled with pulling on the leash during walks and constantly wanting attention. When tate brought Boone back to us after his two week board and train program, we were so impressed. He listened to every command tate gave and our walks are actually pleasurable now. He does not pull and actually stops every time I stop. Tate is very attentive and will pick up the phone any moment I have a question to this day! I definitely recommend the dog wizard, especially tate! He has been so kind and patient throughout this whole process and quickly became Boone’s best friend.

We first started working with Gretchen at Nashville Dog Wizard when Millie was a puppy. She helped us develop good habits that created a way of communicating with Millie so that she could understand what we want, and vice versa.
We did a follow up round a year and a half later to cement a few things we were working on, and start to move toward some more advanced “off leash” routines.
Two rounds of week long training and it was totally worth it! Could not recommend Gretchen enough.

From the 45 minute call we had days before we even dropped off our dog to the almost hour conversation we had when we dropped her off, I felt comfortable from the get go. I am a naturally anxious person and I was worried about this experience for our dog. Because of Tate and the rest of the wonderful staff, she had an incredible experience and there was definitely a change we saw in her when she came home. Along with the two hour return lesson, we received updates via video each day to let us know what was being worked on and how our pup was doing. Tate went above and beyond and it shows. I cannot recommend Tate and the Dog wizard enough!
