The Happy Hound Behavior and Obedience

Sami is a magician. Our dog Reuben has a history of anxiety and reactivity and we were so on edge bringing him anywhere or having anyone near him. It had gotten to the point where we felt like we couldn’t have visitors at our house. Walking was such an anxiety inducing activity because we never knew what he would do and he would pull like crazy. We did a few sessions with Sami and immediately saw progress so we decided to do a 3 week board and train. Reuben truly came back a different dog. He is SUCH a nice walker, has outstanding obedience skills, his reactivity is hugely improved and he is a happier dog. The anxiety of course is still there but Sami also did a great job of teaching us how to manage it. We’ve had several dog trainers but no one comes close to Sami. She has a process and tools that work and the way she explains things is extremely clear. She also absolutely loves dogs and understands how they think. Reuben actually wanted to eat her the first few times they met and within a few days at her house she absolutely won him over. He kind of wanted to stay there forever … I’d recommend Sami and The Happy Hound to anyone who asks!

My four year old lab mix had no training in how to walk properly on a leash and I wanted to walk him but he's so strong I was afraid he'd pull me down if he saw a squirrel or rabbit. Sami did an amazing job turning my very hyper, energetic dog into a well mannered, nearly perfect walking companion and I couldn't be happier and neither could Rusty because he loves going for walks.
