The Happy Hound Behavior and Obedience

After struggling to find a dog trainer that helped us we found Sami from a recommendation from a friend and I am so happy we did! Tuch struggled immensely with resource guarding, when he would get ahold of something he shouldn't (which happens often) he would be aggressive. It was becoming a serious issue and we did not know what to do. With 10 sessions with Sami the progress we have seen is incredible! I am now no longer fearful of him resource guarding as we have the tools and knowledge to handle situations when they come up. Sami was so personable and easy to work with. She listened to all of our concerns and made sure to address all of them. She made training days fun and Tuch loved when she would come over! We will definitely continue working with her to help Tuch be the best dog he can be.

Thanks to Sami, my dog Winston’s (separation) anxiety no longer rules our life. We have implemented crating in our day to day, walks and dog friendly activities are now a regular occurrence for us, and his overall happiness and demeanor has improved visibly as his confidence continues to grow and we get to enjoy more things together. Since day 1, Sami’s knowledge and commitment was evident and she made me immediately feel comfortable to leave Winston in her care because he hit it off with her right away. In addition to being an obvious “dog person”, she also does an excellent job communicating and training the human (lol). Because a lot of times we really still are speaking a different language than our pups. She’s been so awesome with continuing to be available for support and to answer questions and genuinely just keeping up with Winston which is much appreciated! 10/10 would work with the happy hound again 🩷

“Sami is the absolute best! Mac completed the 10-pack individual lessons and his progress was unbelievable. She transformed our nervous reactive dog to be confident and obedient. Sami’s an expert in reading dog body language and resolving conflict. We were unable to take Mac to the park and pass other people/dogs before training as he would bark, lunge, and react to a point where it was extremely stressful for both us and Mac. We now have the skills and knowledge to confidently bring him in public to walk or even just relax. He now looks at us and listens for guidance in those situations and can remain neutral.
