The Happy Hound Behavior and Obedience

Next week I have my final physical therapy session for my rotator cuff tear. That was one of several concerns we had with our energetic Lab rescue (a sweet boy with a lot of enthusiasm). So we turned to Sami. The results have been exactly what we hoped. Rooney is no longer overly excited or reactive on leash, doesn't chase the ball when I play catch with my grandson, and obeys the place command every time (almost). He's become a great walker and has learned to fetch when he's my designated playmate. He's not perfect, and we wouldn't want him to be too good, but he's dramatically better behaved than before we met Sami. She was amazing with our guy and with us - a great all-around experience.

I reached out to Sami at The Happy Hound to help me with my two-year-old German Shepherd, Oliver. I enrolled him in the 2-week Board & Train program. Oliver was very people reactive and the tools that Sami gave me are going to be a real game changer. Sami is the one of the best trainers I have ever encountered as she is patient and kind and I felt like it was worth every penny! Thanks to Sami’s training program, not only is Oliver more well behaved, but it’s also helped me tremendously! I would highly recommend The Happy Hound to anyone who is looking for a very knowledgeable, quick-to-respond and eager-to-help trainer; she definitely knows her stuff! She exceeded my expectations and I saw improvement in Oliver immediately. Upon graduation, Oliver was calmer, less frustrated, and more obedient and I am much more confident taking him out in the public now. Can’t thank her enough for her help!

If you are considering getting training for your dog, Sami is your best choice! Prior to starting training I felt lost, exhausted, and helpless. Gracie, my just over 1 year old pittie, was high energy, strong, and disobedient. After private lessons with Sami, Gracie is a joy to be around and our bond has grown stronger with a new level of trust. Sami helped with making everyday tasks with Gracie so much more enjoyable and peaceful. Sami is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and unbiased. Gracie’s world has expanded and I am able to enjoy that with her peacefully. Gracie truly enjoyed working with Sami and would get so excited to see her. I 10/10 recommend her services and will 100% be doing more training with Sami in the future.
