Matt at Hill Country Dog Trainer was such a pleasure to work with. From the start of the initial phone call to him dropping my puppy back off at my house, he was super informative and understanding. He took the time to really explain the process and steps of training to me. I was able to get daily updates on his Facebook page which made the adventure super exciting to see the progress and I really felt as if my puppy became part of his family for the entire training stay. He went out of his way to make sure that I was fully caught up to speed when my dog was back in my hands and has continued to follow up and check in and make sure things are going well. Would 11/10 recommend Matt to anyone who is in search for a dog trainer.

Matt and his family are so kind and involved in the care and training. The process is explained and easy to understand. The confidence and attentiveness that was brought out in our dog is unbelievable. Matt’s communication was and is above and beyond. I highly recommend this man and his family to anyone looking to better their pet’s life, and enrich the relationship they have with their dog!

I cannot say enough about Matt!!! I absolutely recommend him to everyone. I’m one of those dog moms, and he was amazing with communication and putting my mind at ease. Our sweet Nyxie has only ever been away from me for a few days, so I was worried about her. As we became empty nesters and will begin traveling soon, we wanted a German shepherd that will respond quickly to avoid those that may be scared just by her presence. She flourished under The Hill Country Dog Trainer’s guidance and training. He was able to bring out the best in her. She could never ride in the car, even extremely short distances without getting sick, now she has more confidence and no anxiety in the car… no car sickness. If you are looking for a dog trainer, I would be happy to answer questions from a dog mom perspective. You will not regret sending your baby to Matt!!
